Hard to believe no one's mentioned "tugboat" from Thou Shalt Not!

Oh, I think I'd blocked "Tugboat" from my mind! Thanks for bringing it back, Craig :)
Seriously, it's not the worst song ever, but it definitely won't be playing on my CD player anytime soon.

i third "who's got the pain?" (it makes no sense.)
i also don't like "something bad" or "wonderful". but they need to be there for plot purposes.
i dislike many of the hairspray songs too (miss baltimore crab! UGH!!)

It was from the musical of Exodus called "Ari". I have a tape of an unreleased studio album . I do not know the title but , as I recall, it tried to rhyme every known flower in the world to another one. Absolutely deadly & it should have been outlawed by the Geneva Convention as cruel & unusual punishment

Stephanie the Star, It's from STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF. The only thing that bugs me about the song is the way Newley sings "moun-TANE".
Praying Decca Broadway will put "Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope" on CD!

As much as I love Adam Guettel, "Children of the Heavenly King" from Myths & Hymns just bothers me. There's something about it. It could easily be the singer. Just give me Audra and I would love that song.

Have to agree, "Rare Songbirds on Display" makes me cringe. I love Side Show, but I can't listen to that song.

"June Is Bustin' Out All Over" drives me up the wall, as does everything in the clambake sequence.

I directed a high school production of Little Shop a few years back. I liked "Closed for Renovations", but despised "Call Back in the Morning". I had actually never even heard the song before because in every previous production I had seen the song was cut!

Even more obnoxious than "Neat to Be a Newsboy" from WORKING?

I gotta say, I do listen to and enjoy "Miss Baltimore Crabs."
I second whomever said "Magic Foot." I think the whole Spelling Bee cast recording is great fun (especially since I was in spelling bees when I was younger) and I understand that "Magic Foot" is a very visual song, but the song itself, without Barfey dancing away, is....well...not the best.

'Mad Bomber' from 'Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up' followed closely by 'High School All Over Again' from 'Is There Life After High School?'
(Why do shows with comically long names seem to have such awful songs?!?)

""Dancing through life" from Wicked is the song I find most painful to listen to"
Something Bad is a trillion times worse.
Alot of songs played ad nauseam can be really irritating. I can't think of something really horrible off the top of my head...but really can't stand certain parts of When Brooklyn Grew Up.

I think "The Riddle Song" is brilliant. However, "'Tween A Rock and a Hard Place" is really hard for me to listen to. LOVE Floyd Collins though.
I would like to second the following as 'worst songs':
"Dancing Through Life" from Wicked
"Rare Songbirds on Display" from Side Show (LOVE most of that score though)
pretty much the entire score of "Applause" (minus the title song)
