I hate the French song from South Pacific, what is the use of it? and all the times I have seen SP the kids have been REALLY BAD.
And I love all of the Evita songs, especially the ones the little kids sing.
OH and another song I hate is "Tower of Babble" from Godspell, what is the perpose of this song????????? it makes no SENCE!!

a couple of my great annoyances:
"Chimp in a Suit" from DRS (Im sorry... i love that show, just not that song)
"More I Cannot Wish You" from Guys and Dolls... i always thought that that song was really really pointless.
Oh that one song from Miss Saigon where the soldiers are marching around for freaking EVER... at least when i saw it it seemed like forever...
Thats all i got for now.

I'm still pretty sure it was "We Beseech Thee," but again, I'm not 100%. If anyone can back me or ShbrtAlley up, that would be appreciated.

Well, Schwartz said he wrote it, but I'll ask my friend Gilmer about it if you'd like. She was in the original cast, so I'm sure she'd be able to tell one way or the other. I'm curious myself!
I was never fond of "Alas For You." That's the one Godspell song I'd skip every time :)

"It's a Pig" from "By Jeeves"
Double winner! It's also the most irritating musical song!

I don't know what its called but the song from the music man where all the women sing:
Pick a little, Talk a little, Pick a little, Talk a little Cheep! Cheep! Cheep! Pick a lot, Talk a little more.
And I'll say it again...SEUSSICAL! BAH!
Pick a little, Talk a little, Pick a little, Talk a little Cheep! Cheep! Cheep! Pick a lot, Talk a little more.
And I'll say it again...SEUSSICAL! BAH!

To show my gratitude, I'll offer you this pointy black hat, which is just like the one Original Wicked Witch Margaret Hamilton wore in the movie!
IDINA MENZEL
What a great idea! How about throughout the play, you continue to offer me things like a black cloak, or a black
cape, or a broom to make me look more and more like Margaret Hamilton did! These attempts at humor will be painfully
predictable from a mile away!
AUDIENCE collectively groans.

that dreadful Pineapple song from Caberet.
and I agree with that Pick a Little song from Music Man. There is usually at least one song from every show that I think is annoying..

'Today for you, tomorrow for me' - Rent. The awful pseudo-early 90s dance beat, bleugh! There's a lot of Cats bashing going on, which i think is a little harsh. There are some really lovely songs on there (i'm only acquainted with the London cast), particularly 'gus the theatre cat', and 'Growltiger's last stand (the ballad of Billy McCaw).' There's a real London vibe to the latter - Growltiger being the 'terror of the Thames,' which is, perhaps, the reason i like it.
"the cottagers at Rotherhithe knew something of his name. From Hammersmith to Putney people shuddered at his name" - Growltiger's Last Stand

fyffe -- The Pineapple Song isn't so bad! In fact, it's one of the few light, comical moments in the show. It doesn't come across so well on disc, but in the theater it's hilarious if done well.
