#1Theater(s) closed---bed bugs?
Posted: 10/25/10 at 7:22amHopefully this isn't true---but while I was at Mary Poppins yesterday, one of the members of the audience, sitting next to me, told me that a couple of the theaters closed due to a bedbug problem. She didn't know the names. Does anyone know if this is true--and if so, which theaters? (I have tix for a couple of shows coming up)

Posted: 10/25/10 at 7:59amI'm pretty sure we would have heard if that were true. People here would have let us know of cancelations, and there would have been a story about it. The theaters would have to announce the info to keep patrons from showing up erroneously.

The David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center also had a breakout:

Posted: 10/25/10 at 10:33amOur local news just came on and said "Guess what's in Lincoln Center". I am assuming it is bed bugs because they said it wasn't good. hey haven't done the story yet.

Bedbugs, satirical content, fat load-in contracts...
Is there no end of cataclysm that can close a show in NYC?

"But several would-be tourists tracked down by The Associated Press say they are aborting their trips here because they fear the bloodsucking pests.
"It sounds like you can get them anywhere, any time of day and not know it until you get home," said Patty Majerik, from Baltimore."
People from BALTIMORE are too grossed out to come to New York.
Ponder that.

That article doesn't lie. My apartment is usually packed with friends and not friends who claim they're friends trying to crash for a free night in NYC. Now I just tell them all my building has bedbugs and they stay home. I've never had so much peace and quiet before in my life.
Maybe if bedbugs come to theatres, ticket prices will finally go down! Come one come all, I say!
