Elisabeth Vincentelli of the New York Post ruins the whole show for me. I always looked forward to Theater Talk's roundup episodes. They used to be interesting discussions among informed people with senses of humor back when Michael Musto and Patrick Pacheco were guests along with Jesse Green. But now Vincentelli hogs the limelight with her ridiculous opinions and no one can get a word in edgewise. Plus, she has zero screen presence and sense of humor. I'm surprised Susan Haskins hasn't kicked her to the curb by now.

Susan Haskins also still hasn't slashed Michael Riedel across the face, so really the woman's patience (or masochism?) is boundless.

This was a critics' roundtable. The trio of Musto, Pacheco and Green still do Theater Talks as well, looking back and forward on the season, and dealing with Tonys.

Not a Musto fan at all. He really annoys me.

Elisabeth Vincentelli is simply awful.... I can't take her seriously. She liked Misery but hated King Charles III...?

Since Isherwood did this talk would he do the end of the season talk to finalize it? It would Brantley do the next talk, because it's a new episode?
this joke failed miserably. I'm sorry. I was trying to compare how they choose who reviews what to who goes on theater talk.

Isherwood looked completely miserable during this entire episode. What also is interesting is that Michael Riedel doesn't seem to go to the theatre much. He seems only interested in cutting down shows and being witty (he isn't) but often hasn't seen the shows he is talking about. At least Susan sees the shows.

Isherwood looks like a cadaver and makes Vincentelli look like the life of the party by comparison. Imagine they were married and had a kid. That is a scary thought.

LOL@ mr roxy.
i wish Jesse Green were a permanent co host with Susan instead of SH*Tdel. He and Susan get along so well and he doesn't say obtuse crap like Iredell does

Yes, I agree. Jesse Green is a class act and very well informed. I think he's my favorite reviewer.

I don't watch Theatre Talk very often, for obvious reasons, but I'm shocked and appalled by the lack of knowledge displayed from these supposed "experts" of Broadway theatre. There was uncertainty on the panel as to whether The Humans was actually transferring to Broadway, Riedel didn't know the basic premise of Eclipsed, and again they weren't 100% certain that it was transferring... I'd wager 98% of the forum posters here would have done a better job, even just spouting basic facts about what was on stage in Fall 2015. This was beyond horrendous.

Disagree with your assessment of Green. Nothing against him personally but disagree with him more than I agree. In addition, he seems to gleefully rip shows he does not like. A simple negative would suffice. He seems to revel in how nasty he can be at times. This, to me, is not constructive criticism.

^I personally think Jesse Green sometimes tends to overreact.
