I'll say that as a stage manager I hate getting those envelopesin the mail and an extremely large percentage of themend up in the trash. I have so many things to do before, during, and after a show. Hounding the cast to sign a random Playbill is below low on my priority list."
If you know these will come anyway, why don't you take a stack of Playbills, ask for the cast to go signing at their leisure and then you will have them ready to go by the time the envelopes come, instead of going around everyone everytime a request come throug (even though you, the actors or the production own these people nothing)
