Didn't you make this thread once before?
You are being such a pest. You love causing trouble.
Anyway, the clip blows.
That's more over-acted than acted if you ask me.
Point NOT proven.
That's probably my favorite original song in a musical for the past few years and I adore the way Montego sings it. While I'm hoping it's Sheri that wins tomorrow night, if Montego takes it, I'll be very happy.
She's certainly a very tricky performer. She knows how to make you think she's experiencing the character's emotions. But she definitely isn't. Also, does she really need to put such force on such low notes?
Nice voice, but WOW, what a crappy song!
TImesSquared, I fvcking love that song. I sing it in the mirror with my hairbrush and wish I was a black girl in the 50's.
That proves the point that she can't act, if anything.
What a disaster.

Post one of her book scenes that doesn't involve her singing and then we'll talk.
Ya'll bein' some bitchy ass queens today!
"and wish I was a black girl in the 50's."
How do we know you weren't, Jordan?
I think I'd like to sing that song in a mirror while a black girl from the '50s beats me over the head with a hairbrush.
It takes a few listens to get into that song. I didn't like it the 1st time I heard it either.

No, it (and her performance) suck just as much on repeat viewings as the first time.
And a song shouldn't have to be played more than once to win you over. It's LIVE THEATRE and the majority of audience members aren't going to give it a second, third, and forth chance at home on the CD.
Muscle, I still don't know if you're just a socially awkward fan who is serious about your opinions or just pushing buttons on purpose.
Oh yeah, and I almost forgot, this thread is totally RACIST. And if you don't like Montego Glover in Memphis you're a big time racist.
DAMN! I wanted to call this thread racist!
I wasn't impressed with that clip... but THIS clip is the one that made me love Montego Glover forever, no matter what:

THERE! Now this thread is officially racist!
I don't know if it was her or the song, but I didn't like it. Than again, I don't like any of the score that I've heard from Memphis. Take it for what you will.
I think Montego is racist, anti-semitic AND sexist for saying that she would never be cast as Tevye.
Muscle's and Jordan's avatars actually take my focus off of theater. Thanks for the eye candy.
That's "Memphis" star Charlie Williams by the way, in case anyone wondered.
SPOILER: The song "Colored Women" takes place after her dream is basically crushed.
I thought it was Chad Kimball, stepping out of his Memphis character.

You just made me even more positive she's the least deserving of all ladies. I didn't think that was possible. Bravo!
P.S. Is it just me or is she FLAT?

Why do you keep posting that sh*tty clip. Why not use the CD where she sounds much better?
