Posted: 6/13/10 at 7:10pmShe enunciates like a drunk Patti LuPone. And her performance is incredibly bland. If my attention drifts WHILE someone is belting.... I hope she doesn't win, though I fully expect her to.

As I predicted, CZJ won the Tony. Honestly I thought that Kate and Montego deserved this award alot more. i think CZJ was very good in her show, but the other actresses are Broadway performers that have been fighting for years to make it and were far more deserving of this award.
I'm thrilled that Memphis won Best Musical, but most of the awards were not surprising at all and they favoured a lot of rich A-list Hollywood stars that weren't that good to begin with.

This is an award for the Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, not a Lifetime Achievement award. There is nothing in the criteria of the award that says it should be given to the performer who has been in the business the longest. Your logic, as always, is bizarre. I still think Sherie deserved the award, but at this point, I'm just happy Montego didn't win it. Having to refer to her as "Tony nominee Montego Glover" is bad enough.
