I know I just inquired about her final performance in a different thread, but I just learned some news and I wanted to change the focus of conversation.
Jane Lynch just filed for divorce, lost her friend and co-star Cory Monteith, and performed her final show in ANNIE, all in one weekend. It's also her birthday today.
I hope that Jane has good friends and company with her this. Sending her vibes/prayers/thoughts.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

That's too bad, but I don't know Lynch personally, and I'm sure few of us do, and starting a whole new "Rah, Rah, Jane!" thread is a little outrageous. She'll be fine.
Sending her love, peace of heart and peace of mind. After reading her memoir, I know how much she has overcome. Despite her hysterical persona, there is a deeply sensitive and tender woman beneath. Love you Jane. xo
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
jv92, I know you mean well, and maybe Jane is tougher than we think, but God forbid any of us ever have to suffer a weekend as trying as the one Jane undoubtedly is having. If the circumstances weren't enough, the press apparently hounding her for details on all of it makes it worse.
My thoughts, prayers and positive vibes will be with her. She may never know it, or may never care, but I for one believe that knowing you have a support network, even of strangers, is better than feeling like an island.
For the love of god, it's just a thread. Is this thread really taking up so much space in your BroadwayWorld universe that you have to insult someone who had sincere, positive intentions? Get over yourself. Learn what's important.
Definitely feeling for Jane this weekend. But those of us who have been in the community know that nothing can make you feel more loved and comforted than the theatre community. She's in good hands today.
Seriously, we can have 19 threads dedicated to what the hell Matthew James Thomas ate for lunch but we can't have one sending goodness into the universe?
I saw her at Broadway Barks Saturday helping to find homes for and save the lives of abandoned animals. She is awesome badness on parade and the fact she is doing for others at such a tough time shows her stuff.
The title of this thread caught my eye. Haven't been reading Annie threads and glanced the thread about her performance. This thread title made me think something happened so I opened it. Glad I did. I had no clue she filed for divorce.
