Once Mike Schmidt told me he couldn't sign my baseball because he's not allowed to sign baseballs due to his contract. Did I run to a Phillies message board and post about what a jerk he is? Nope. He has an obligation to the company he signed with. And he explained that to me.
Zachary wasn't rude to you. It sounded like he explained himself to you politely. What more can you possibly ask for? You disrespect his politeness and what he does after every show by coming here.
I met him at Flea Market and he was very sweet. We chatted briefly about a show he did pre-Chuck. The volunteers tried to shoo me away but he wanted me to stay for another minute. Look at what a jerk he is.
Sorry to hear that, Eris. I think the volunteers should have come on here straight away and said what a jerk he was for not following their orders. He just seems like the worst!
I saw Zach at Shake Shack and i was really hungry but he didnt seem to care. I mean he makes all this money and he wouldn't give me even a bite of his burger or a single french fry even though he had a plate with 14. I counted.

And I'm sure Zachary will do more after First Date as well.

"Krysta is really talented she Will do more after first date."
I predict all the actors in First Date--even the ones you've never heard of--will do something after First Date.
(I'm a genius)

Yes, it was and I liked that show too.
"Also, just a guess but you must be under 30, right?"
Probably not a day over 15.
You know why he probably doesn't sign if you haven't seen the show?
Because there is a pretty lucrative business in selling autographed merchandise.
Whenever there's a big name on Broadway, the same bunch of sleazy parasites pop up with their DVDs and posters and memorabilia of that big name's well-known stuff. They appear at the stage door, get it signed, and sell it for marked-up prices.
Good for Levi for at least making those people buy a damn ticket.
(And it's not like this is a show that's constantly selling out).
At first I thought this was goin to be a thread about how sexy Zachary Levi is. Thanks for nothing, op!
Wow, I didn't think of the angle that the EBay sellers come out in force and look for autographs. That does indeed seem to be a good reason not to sign unless someone has seen the show.
However, I can imagine a situation where someone has previously seen a show but couldn't meet the actors that time for whatever reason. My guess is that, if the autograph seeker explains the circumstances, the actor would sign.
I went to a Civil War reenactment where Jeff Shaara and Tony Horwitz were selling and signing their books. I only bought Jeff's book because I already had Tony's at home. I asked both of them to sign Jeff's book because, as I explained to Tony, I absolutely adored "Confederates in the Attic" (Tony's book) but didn't need a second copy. I was really friendly about it, so Tony smiled and signed Jeff's book. It was absolutely clear that I was being truthful, because I mentioned some parts that I really loved. It also helped that the table wasn't mobbed, the way a stage door would be.
Finally, both sides have valid points in this thread, as in most. I really wish that folks would tone down the personal attacks.

So, a petulant, spoiled person who whines that someone, whose show he didn't see, who didn't sign something, has a valid point?
Sorry. WRONG

PTOPhan--
Your examples have nothing to do with the person's situation that started this thread.
They were not going back to a show they had already seen.
I've seen the show. I still have my playbill. I'm sure if I went back WITH THE PLAYBILL I could get it signed.
The original poster wasn't going back. They hadn't seen the show. Period.
I've always thought that it's a shame they can't figure out some way to do the Stage Door thing INSIDE the theatre, so only the paying customers, who support the show, can participate.
Time for children like the OP to take their self-entitled prickhood elsewhere. Giving trophies just for showing up was the worst way to raise a generation.
I am not telling people to see his show after what he did.
THAT'S RICH!!! YOU didn't even see his show!
Addy said it best: Take your self-entitled prickhood elsewhere.
If the op was really a fan of Levi, they'd get a ticket to the show. Again, tickets are not hard to come by and can be had fairly cheaply.
I don't think he is, though. He went there for Krysta (who signed) and won't recommend Krysta's show because of Zach (who didn't sign).
I think the OP has made up the whole thing and y'all are upset over nothing.
I dont understand the autograph thing. I have 3 celeb autographs, Steven Sondheim, Cher, and Joey Bishop. I have no idea where any of them are.
What's the appeal? Do you stare at it? Kiss it? Put a bud vase with a single rose in front of it?

I've never gotten the appeal of autographs, either. I get the appeal of getting a picture taken with a celeb (but I also get why a celeb wouldn't want to).
This thread is hilarious, though. I would say it's empirical that Quinto is a bigger star than Levi. Chuck ran for five years, but I think about ten people watched it, and three of those people were me, my mom, and my sister.

Yes krysta was very nice and I have been telling people that but why would I pay for a show where the star won't sign for some people.

Because then you could actually get the autograph you so clearly covet. Go away, you idiot. Updated On: 10/18/13 at 12:17 PM

As has been said already, it's quite likely Zac is under contract to not sign for people who have not been to the show. The comment that he is 2 famous to spend 2 seconds is quite ridiculous when he's one celebrity who donates a lot of his time and effort to raise money for charity, particularly operation smile. Get your facts right before you make sweeping statements like that please Ben!
