I imagine this will do quite well on tour. I’m happy the show remains open on Broadway for however long it will stick around. What a life it must be to eagerly count down the days until dozens of people’s unemployment. I can’t imagine rooting for even just one person’s failure.

I usher and saw it three times on tour this fall in Cincinnati. As someone who was unfamiliar with her music and story, this show blew me away. Not only is it a well-constructed story, but it also has a tour-de-force performance as Tina (no matter which actress), which was so refreshing to see on tour. The songs are still in my head, and it really came out as one of my favorite tours this season!!
I’m kind of shocked I haven’t seen much of footage of the finale number from the tour. Have ushers in the touring venues been clamping down on people filming it?

I am an usher at a local touring theatre and we were told to let them film only the number after bows
Saw it in Denver on Saturday, 21 October. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it more than when we saw it in London with Warren. Although, it's still not, imo, a great show. But it has risen to pretty good. it seemed a bit tighter.
Parris Lewis has stepped up to sharing the role of Tina with Ari Groover, based on the Denver Post review saying she was sharing the role. The program still has her as Alilne, Ikette and u/s/ Tina, but the Tina Tour website has her as sharing the role. She was fine. A good solid performance. You wouldn't necessarily know how much more the role was when Warren played it.
We also had the Ike u/s. And I still have the same problem I had in London with how Ike is written, but this performance had him less all out villain from the first time we see him.
We also had an u/s for Phil Spector - and the River Deep Mountain High sequence suffered, imo. It should be a moment when Tina starts to realize she can be a star without Ike - even if she chooses not to take that path for another 10 years! At least, that's how I recall it was played in London (but it has been a few years). Also, this performance diminished how much Spector changed Tina's approach to the song. It was a little too quick and easy - again, not as I recalled it in London. Also, the London Spector was a lot more wild and crazy - this Spector was sedate.
The Buell's sound system has been off for the last few shows we've seen there. (We didn't see Beetlejuice). Last night was muddy - especially with anything that was not a slower song or had fewer voices. But, heck, the Buell is HUGE, so mixing can't be easy. It was a little better than Jagged Little Pill - but not much better.
I know the tour has been going for quite a while - but it's still got lots of stops scheduled. I think it's worth catching.
