Avenue Q and Contact (? NO Thank you!)
Avenue Q for score?????
Why so many awards for The Producers!!!!???
Why does Christine winning the Drama Desk bother you, broadwaybaby? She got the best reviews of the season. (On Jun. 10, the Tony will 'seal the deal'.) Her performance is incredible. (Or should I say performances, as she plays 2 characters?)
She's amazing. (And won everything else last season, minus the Tony and Lucille Lortel (what were they thinking?!)).

Blood Brothers wasn't nominated for Best Score? That is buuuuuuuuuulllllllcrap.
SA winning best choreography.
Don't get me wrong. I love the show and it absolutely deserved all of its other honors. Just not choreography. I honestly think Jerry Mitchell was robbed on that one.
For the few who commented early that off-Broadway shows cannot be nominated for a Tony, according to the Tony official website, they can be nominated if in a theatre that seats 400+ and is recognized as a legitimate theatre. They have a whole list of off-Broadway theatres that qualify.

mc, you're mistaken. The rules state that a production is eligible only if it is housed in a Broadway theater. The list of theaters that are eligible are all Broadway theaters. There are no off-Broadway theaters on the list.
The list is labeled Exhibit A on page 13 of the official rules and regulations.
Also, the minimum number of seats is 500, not 400.

I apologize for the misunderstanding. I had recently communicated with someone who gave me their interpretation of the criteria. I saw the Biltmore listed and thought that was considered an off-Broadway theatre.
