Dominic Cooper and Stephen Campbell Moore not getting nominated for the History Boys this year.
Oh, and Cherry Jones not getting nominated for Faith Healer.
I loved both HB and FH, but I can't decide if Richard Griffiths over Ralph Fiennes and Ian McDiarmid over Samuel Barnett were the right way to go. I wish they would've tied.
Aye, aye sarbear.
P.S. I like the avator.
marissa jarot winoker over bernadette peters was probably the biggest travesty of all time
Definitely Taboo not winning Best Score. It's absolutely flawless.
And, really now, why does Raul Esparza not have a Tony? IMO, he should have ALL the Tonys, regardless of other nominees or category...

To those who think Bernadette Peters not winning a Tony for Gypsy was a tragedy, I must say that I found that performance at best summer stock-quality: a very fine, but undistinguished performance. Surely one doesn't earn a Tony award just for assaying that role at all. (I did think it better, though, than her performance in Annie Get Your Gun, which was beyond feeble and hokey.)
I also hope those considering it a "boo boo" to have given the Tony to Judy Holliday over Julie Andrews saw both those shows first-hand...
Not nominating Hunter Foster for URINETOWN (for which he should have won over John Lithgow!)
Not nominating Christian Borle for SPAMALOT. He gives the best performance of the entire cast!
Alba,
No I didn't see either Andrews' or Holliday's performance first hand. However, from the video clips and recordings I've heard of both performances, Andrews wins in my book.
Eliza Doolittle is also a more demanding part than Holliday's role in Bells are Ringing and Andrews did it tremndously.

Amy Spanger, Kingsley Leggs, and Daniel Reichard not getting nominated.
A few years ago, Say Goodnight Gracie was nominated for Best Play. It was a one-man show, and that one man, Frank Gorshin, did not receive a Tony nom.
definately daniel reichard not getting nomminated.
There is no way in hell that Jersey Boys should have gotten best musical over The Drowsy Chaperone.
Where's all this Daniel Reichard love coming from?
I saw him perform, and honestly, I remember nothing about it.
1960, Merman not winning best actress and Gypsy not winning best musical
1976, When they gave no awards to Chicago, IMO it should have been best musical.
1982, Nine beating out Dreamgirls for Best Musical and Loretta Devine not getting a Best Featured Actress nod.
2003, Bernadette Peters not winning Best Actress for Gypsy.
2004, Idina Menzel winning best actress over Tonya Pinkins, Idina is good and all, but Tonya was great in "Caroline or Change".
The Assassins first broadway production not being able to be considered as Best Musical or for the Score or Book awards.
No Supporting Actress nomination for Ann Harada.
SWEENEY TODD losing Best Revival.
2 years in a row two completely deserving shows walked away with no Best Musical Tony: WICKED and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. (especially the latter.)
But I have seen WICKED and AVENUE Q. WICKED was better in so many regards. Really disappointing.
And don't even get me started on THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. It is possibly one of the best musicals ever written for the stage. Well, Gypsy lost. So, maybe there is hope.
Yes, but it's not like GYPSY lost to something undeserving. It lost to THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
I know. And I love Sound of Music and it probably should have won. But GYPSY is a really well known show and it didn't win. So, maybe there is hope for the future success for PIAZZA.
GYPSY wasn't really well known in 1959.
I don't think PIAZZA will have any problems. I think it will enjoy a long life after Broadway. The same probably can't be said for SPAMALOT.

Sweeney Todd loosing best revival
Not having all the Jersey Boys nomanated (i love them ALL but im so happy they won the awards they did)
and this is kinda wierd but i think they should give out awards to really good understudies. some of them may be as good or even better than the actual stars but they dont get their chance
i think a lot of people should have tied-like Christian Hoff and Manoel Felciano
Patti LuPone or Sutton Foster winning over LaChanze
Benjamin MAgnuson not bein nom'ed
Eden Espinosa not being nom'ed
theres alot more i would point out but i dont feel like writing them all down.
Gypsy got better reviews than Sound of Music, had a better score than Sound of Music and had a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH (underlined 3 times) better book than Sound of Music. That alone made it deserve Best Musical.
