ok this is weirdness- this post is showing up in my profile, but not in this thread...I'll delete one if they both show up...
so was there Legally Blonde and LoveMusik clips?
Yeah, they do a video package of, I forget how exactly it's introduced, but of musicals that opened this season that didn't get th Best Musical nomination, and so there's clips of Blonde, LoveMusik, The Grinch, High Fidelity, Times they are a changin, Fame Becomes Me, etc. in one video package.

ok another question for folks who were at the rehearsal- Mark Indelicato's name was in the opening credits (for those who don't recognize- he plays America Ferrera's nephew on Ugly Betty), but I don't remember seeing/hearing him anywhere in the show, either him himself, or his name announced and a 'stand in' coming on in his place to say his lines...did I miss it, where is he in the show?

I would assume she's singing live since she's doing the matinee right now.

I heard that the awards show wanted lovemusik and legally blonde to perform, for uplifting entertainment but it nixed. I am sad, they said (the award people) that the songs to be performed were (this is not a quote just my interpretaion) kinda boring or maybe a downer. which is not a bad thing but wanting to spark broadway interest they wanted something uplifting as well. maybe Fantasia will do that.

Spring Awakening is winning Best Musical. The last show to perform ALWAYS wins.

If you're last OR second to last you win Best Musical.

I love how I don't really care. I don't memorize the order in which shows perform on The Tony Awards. I do remember Avenue Q's year though- Wicked, Caroline, Q then Hugh Jackman (It was essentially Hugh Jackman. I doubt Peter Allen would have recognized Sarah Jessica twenty years ago. Unless he saw Annie.)
