Is tony going to miss all week for the high seas cruise thing?
Yes, he tweeted he will be out Feb 11-19

I would imagine so. Previous obligations are usually respected when you hire someone...I guess we will see for sure soon.

The buried lead in this article is that Yazbeck's final performance will be March 27.
I wonder if Yazbeck has something else lined-up after NEVERLAND, or if he's being kicked out in favor of Boe? I think NEVERLAND will run through the summer and close by Labor Day.

I completely agree. Personal opinion aside (because I think I've made it perhaps a little too clear on some other threads...), objectively observing the show's grosses and casting craziness lately, it wouldn't surprise me if Boe signs on for a five-month contract and the show shutters that Labor Day weekend.

He's supposed to be leading the On the Town tour, although I don't believe any dates have been announced for that yet.

I have it on pretty safe word that the producers hemorrhaged enough money on the Broadway run that they made the decision to pull the plug on the tour—it won't be happening. Very sadly, it just wouldn't be sustainable enough. I'd sooner expect Tony to go to a Broadway run of Prince of Broadway (or a Broadway run of anything) before an OTT tour.

That's too bad. He confirmed the March 27 departure from Finding Neverland on his twitter today.

Forgive me if I am mistaken but isn't it more common for replacement actors to be contracted for limited engagement from the outset over an open run? That gives the production the advantage of an injection of the actors fanbase and all the publicity buzz over the change over before quickly repeating that with another new actor. I am thinking of Hedwig as a recent example.

Man that is sad to hear! I was fortunate enough to catch it on one of my trips to NYC before it closed. At least we have the amazing cast recording and a handful of clips online!
I also have it on good word that On The Town will not be touring.

Wonderful! The production was truly one of Broadway's greatest gems in recent history. I'm sad this particular version of a beautiful show won't have a future, but it's one of those things that we can cherish in memory forever.

It depends on the show. For Neverland, I'm thinking they were just seeing how much he could bring in. Shows like Chicago, and now Kinky Boots do seem to be doing exactly what you said however, so I could be wrong.
I'm hoping this isn't some new get rich quick scheme.
Hedwig is a different beast because of the physical toll it takes on the actors, they are put through the wringer - only Michael C Hall could have lasted longer if he needed to.
Anyone tried rush recently? Attempted a few weeks back but they were not offering....

I got a rush ticket for someone a few Wednesday's ago...I happened to be near the theater at 10 am when the box office opened..and she got a seat in the orchestra near center right off the aisle.
Intermission now:
Scored a rush ticket this morning...great seat, on the aisle, Orchestra K.
First time seeing the show, so far, solid production, great concept, wonderful performances.
Tony Yazbeck has a lovely demeanor, and stellar voice. Giving a warm and heartfelt performance.
Anyone who has yet to see it.. Go!
