Jay! I changed it for two reasons (a) The irresistible Tony Yazbeck was too good to pass up (even though its Patti now...) and (b) Someone else on here has a flamingo! How can I compete with that?!?!
But, seriously... "Rose's Turn"...? Paleeeeeezzzz???
Cry-Baby should do "A Little Upset" since the choreography is amazing, maybe into "Nothing Bad". "Baby Baby Baby" is kinda cool too.
Passing Strange should NOT do Amsterdam. That song is god-awful. "Keys" will be a good choice.
In the Heights will probably do the title song, but I think "96,000" might be good, or maybe just the end with the "whoa-oh-oh"s.
Xanadu should do a medley of "Evil Woman", "Magic", "All Over the World" and "Xanadu".
Grease shouldn't be allowed to perform, but since it is Grease, "You're the One that I Want".
Sunday should perform a medley of the Prologue with the "Color, light" stuff, then "Finishing the Hat", then "Move On".
South Pacific should do "Nothin' Like a Dame", "Wash That Man", "Happy Talk", and "This Nearly Was Mine".
Gypsy should do "Everything's Comin' Up Roses", since "Together" isn't that good a song.
I think if Mary or Jackie was nominated it would make sense for them to do Evil Woman, but since it's pretty much Kerry and the show as a whole, I'd imagine they would just do the title song.
Cubby Bernstein, Tony Campaign manager, is the man behind the Tony awards. If he's working for them, they're getting a Tony.

CRY-BABY: "Nothing Bad's Ever Gonna Happen Again" or "We're Not Upset"
IN THE HEIGHTS: "In the Heights"
PASSING STRANGE: "Amsterdam"
XANADU: "Xanadu"
GREASE: Medley
SOUTH PACIFIC: "Twin Solilioquys/Some Enchanted Evening" or "Honey Bun"
SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE: "Sunday" or "Putting it Together"
GYPSY: "Rose's Turn"
Stand-by Joined: 12/27/07
Do any of you think the little mermaid will have a performance being that it's a new show?
While neither Mary nor Jackie was nominated, Evil Woman gets some of the most vociferous applause and shows off the book very well. The title number will have to be in there somewhere but Evil Woman is really a great choice.
Cry-Baby: A Little Upset
In the Heights: En Washington Heights/96,000
Passing Strange: Keys/Amsterdam
Xanadu: Magic/Evil Woman/Xanadu
Grease: You're the One that I Want/We Go Together
Gypsy: Rose's Turn
South Pacific: There is Nothin' Like A Dame/Some Enchanted Evening
Sunday in the PArk with George: Sunday
I just hope Sunday... does something other than "Sunday". It's just such an obvious choice.
Will we know what will be performed before the TONYS?
CRY-BABY: "Nothing Bad's Ever Gonna Happen Again" The only song from the score I find myself humming.
IN THE HEIGHTS: "In the Heights"
PASSING STRANGE: "Amsterdam"
XANADU: "Xanadu". A medley did not work last time, and Kerry is the only actor nominated, so it's perfect.
GREASE: "You're The One That I Want"
SOUTH PACIFIC: "A Wonderful Guy" hearing Kelli sing "I'm in Love" is stunning.
SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE: "Move On"
GYPSY: "Roses Turn" or "Together Wherever We Go"
Wouldn't "I'm Alive" be more suited to feature Kerry. Xanadu is more of a company number.
Yes. We will know what they perform before the show.
Slightly off topic.
I'm surprised the Tonys have not invited Lea Salonga to present or perform.
