Did you actually see it, because my wife and I did during the summer of 2012 when we were in London for the Olympics. We both thought it was a very enjoyable night at the theater

Development rewrites are super common, even for well received shows. No need to be rude, dude
They just have to get Fred and Ginger on board and it will run forever.
Oh Lord soon it's gonna be like the Gershwin shows. A new cut and paste adaptation every couple years.

I have such a soft spot for these type of classic, splashy Broadway shows. Especially since it was Fred and Ginger made me fall in love with musicals as a child. But when was the last time one of these like shows was a bonafide commercial hit on Broadway? I won't miss it, but I have reservations about its success.
Saw it in London and felt it was dated, but very entertaining. It would need a few stars to make it on Broadway for sure.
I agree that it felt dated, but I didn't find anything wrong with that. Kind of reminded me of Holiday Inn in that way (although of course more "Hollywood" than being on a farm in the middle of nowhere). A little old fashioned charm, glamour and glitz was entertaining enough for a nice night out.
