FYI -- The Kennedy Center isn't really a regional theatre. It's not a member of LORT and really is mainly just a presenting house that's a road stop for national tours, though in the last couple of years it's begun to get back in the business of creating its own productions for the first time since the Roger L Stevens years of the 70s and 80s. (the Sondheim and Tennessee Williams festivals, the upcoming Mame).

Posted: 4/6/06 at 11:07amI would definitely put the Seattle Children's Theatre on this list. They basically world premiere a huge majority of the new children's shows in America, and they do really great work.
