So the former EIC of Playbill is "spilling tea" on Twitter about some of his experiences. I was wondering if you guys happen to know who this tweet is alluding to: https://twitter.com/MarkPeikert/status/1319725436189003776?s=20. I don't remember any of this happening recently, but I could just be forgetting something.
In case the tweet happens to get deleted, it says "Sometimes I think about the TV star who came to Broadway in a much-reviled new adaptation of a classic book, and had no idea that people hated the show because her team had hidden the reviews from her and she just wasn't curious."
*** DISCLAIMER: This is NOT meant to cause any trouble or harm to ANY party involved. I am just genuinely curious and I'm sure someone probably knows what it's about. ***

Is Olivia Wilde a TV star? Is this about 1984?

Olivia Wilde's breakout role was on House, so, even though she's known more for films now, TV star would apply. 1984 is a good guess.

Emilia Clark did the HORRID Breakfast at Tiffany's where the cat got better press than her or the show. 7 years ago but still fits.

I also don't remember Therese Raquin getting the most glowing reviews, and there is no denying that Judith Light is primarily known as a television star.
In reality this Tweet really doesn't feel all that "scandalous" or anything. So an actor didn't read reviews and nobody on their team told them they were bad? That's not surprising at all.

The one about [possibly Olivia Wilde, or someone else] isn't particularly damning. A lot of actors don't like reading reviews. What's wrong with that? As an actor myself, I probably wouldn't want to know if people hated my show. At least not while I was in the middle of the run. Nothing good comes from that.

Did this guy leave Playbill on bad terms? Seems like sour grapes. And even though he's not revealing anything too specific or damning, if I was a potential employer of his and came across that, I wouldn't want him working for me. Doesn't seem like a smart move. Either burn the place down and really spill the tea or keep your mouth shut on social media and share those stories with your friends.
