Obviously nobody here is going to defend putting hands on someone. That is assault, full stop, and the sentence is the sentence. But I do think this is the most extreme possible symptom of something we have all been complaining about for three or four seasons now: audiences and theatres have completely stopped agreeing on what a jukebox musical evening even is.
I think my favorite part of that article is when it states that the guy also hired a hitman to kill his ex's new boyfriend. Sounds like someone needs a little therapy.
