This image has surfaced on the net, and as you can see it is advertising the upcoming movie of Les Miserables. It's wonderful!

Too bad it says "Summer 2013" when we know it's being released in December 2012.

Do you think this fan was inspired by this poster from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban?

Don't think it's legit - the website doesn't go anywhere. Universal would never let that go.
He looks too much like Wolverine, hiding in the thrushes.
"Do you think this fan was inspired by this poster from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban?"
No.
"He looks too much like Wolverine"
To be honest, that's probably where the image of Hugh came from.
It reminds me of the cover of the ALIAS DVDs.
Now let's see one for a used up Anne Hathaway as Fantine!
It's a shame this poster was already used for the Liam Neeson version
The unsurpassable 1934 Raymond Bernard version with the great Harry Baur, available on hulu.

I'll bet the ad campaign will be closer to the OP's image. They'll want to feature the stars and make it look like an "action-adventure event" movie.
Apparently the image of Hugh is from a Wolverine poster.
I wonder if Hugh will have a beard for the movie? He doesn't usually have facial hair but Valjean has almost always has a beard in the musical. For Wolverine he's worn muttonchops but not a full beard.
I would personally like a poster that doesn't involve photoshopping a generic picture of an actor, but whatever.

Yes, that's definitely from one of the Wolverine posters. How about this one from "The Fountain".

He definitely looks like the convict Valjean in that film image from THE FOUNTAIN!
Chewy, I have the same ad in my 1st national tour souvenir brochure from 1991, only mine says "A Bruce Beresford Film."
