well, since you don't me that well Craig, just playing Devil's advocate here, who is to say what I DO about the show or from whom that information came? Granted, they tell everyone the concept when they come in, I know *I* was told, because it does factor heavily into the show, so it's no big secret.. therfore, I find it funny all the things that have been said.
You've missed my point completely.
Happy Holidays
For the record, I have major distaste for both Craig and broadwayguy2.
Merry Christmas to you too, Craig!

gee. thanks.
no stocking stuffers for you!
LMAO, guys....can't we all just get along!? wait, not on bww.com.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
and I can't wait for this show! but why must it be in Denver! I probably won't be able to get tickets because I may be doing summer theatre somewhere, so I won't be able to just up and leave for Denver in the middle of a run.

So, again - - for all of you that are "in the know.." who is the casting director/agency is for this? Feel free to PM me... Thanks!

I AM in the know, and therefore I will end the taunting and reveal the concept. Here we go: The entire thing is a giant metaphor for the assassination of President McKinley. Also, Scuttle will be a robot.
It's not my stocking I want stuffed, broadwayguy2.
Trekkie---BRILLIANT!! I CAN'T WAIT!!
broadwayguy2, if it's no big secret, why don't you just stop beating around the bush and say the concept rather than continuing to vaguley allude to it?
trekkie, tom says he's sorry and to remember it's just business.

cause i am having a good laugh cause i pretty much stated it outright.
and trust me.. now it ain't no secret.
those good at math, can already figure it out with some careful reading/thinking.
You said something about wanting the show 'on express,' which I am guessing was a refrence to "Starlight Express", and you also mentioned "The Wiz," both of which featured performers on skates, but I don't understand how actors on roller skates helps with the illusion of the ocean?
Well no matter who is cast or what the concept is, I already have a block of seats to see it here in Denver. I could probably get inside scoop as I am well connected here with the top people at DCA (Who is presenting it and where it will premiere). But just out of respect I haven't asked and if I am told, I won't repeat it.
I'm still sticking with my on ice guess...since no one has commented on it.
Well the Ellie is a state of the art theatre...they could probably do it!!! lol

I pissed alot of people of (I'm talking to you, munk) when I campaigned for Ashley Brown like hell.
I'd like to see Ashley Brown!
I saw her in On the Record and she was the one reason I didn't bitch like hell about how much money I spent on that ticket. I about cried everytime she opened her mouth. I said right then "She's gonna be a star!"...doesn't take a psychic to see that, though :)
I don't like Keri Butler as Ariel, from the demo. She's trying too hard to sound like a "disney character". She is singing completely in her nose. Without messing with her sound she sounds like a disney princess, but when she tries it just sounds harsh!
I would really like to see the role go to someone who is fantastically perfect for it, and not necessarily a "name" whether it be bway, tv, or other.
*cough*me!*cough...jk!
Ashley Brown said in her Broadway.com interview that she isn't doing "The Little Mermaid," so people can stop throwing her name into the ring of speculation.

If you know what the details are to the show... why don't you just plain state it. This thread is about the show... so say what you know about the show as opposed to making it complicated and ending up with a long thread of one person trying to act condescending to the other with sarcasm and hidden meanings.
Here's all I know about the show:
They went through three directors trying to figure out how to deal with the underwater crap.
That's as far as I know.
Has anyone else seen a lof chorus boys wearing those shoe skate things falling down around town?
Steve Blanchard can sing, listen to JOHNNT GUITAR.
