With great shows like NINE,HAIRSPRAY,MOVIN OUT etc.,etc.,etc.
what is it with all these votes for a big dud like Dance of the
Vampires? Wake up - it was a FLOP and is long gone never to
return again.
people are voting for dance of the vampires because it was a great show and people loved it why does it matter if it returns or not or if it was a flop or not? some people, a lot of people, think it was better than nine, hairspray, and movin out.
People are voting because Vampires was taken off Broadway entirely prematurely and WAS a good show. I saw it during previews and never heard one person say they didnt like it. But once the reviews come out, of course, everyone becomes a critict and sees nothing but negative things (many of these people never even saw the damn show). I say, forget the criticts. DOTV was a perfectly good show that should be still running.

DOTV was a great show. Just because you didn't like it or think it was as good as Nine or Hairspray doesn't mean everyone else feels the same. That's why there are choices for awards. Don't down a show just because you didn't enjoy it, chances are there are a lot more people who did.

I saw DOTV in its last week and the audience absolutely loved it. Not only the many fans the show already had, also those who saw it for the first time and - because of the reviews - were very surprised it was so good. I heard many who were also very sad the show was closing and they couldn?t see it again and there wasn?t even a CD. It is really frightening how some critics and some mean posts on message boards can destroy such a good and original show. Starting a show on Broadway has become a kind of Russion roulette for the producers.
I thought that DOTV was an AMAZING show!!! I never really agreed with a word that the critics said. The house was full on the night that I went, and everyone loved the show. The show had an amazing score, fantastic scenery, and wonderful lighting and costumes!!! I just think that the critics were trying to be nit picky! Anyways, I thought that it had some of the most amazing music written for the modern day musical theater, and the entire cast was FABULOUS!!! I LOVED Dance of the Vampires!
The sponge was a hoot!!! I believe that if it were still open, it would have been one of the top two candidates for best musical at the tonys, and probably taken a lot of awards!
Just for the heck of it, I have to say..........................
I LOVE "DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See Ya!!!
