Well, with Leslie Kritzer in Catered Affair and Megan Hilty preparing to leave Wicked LA and begin work on 9 to 5, we can honestly say they won't be in the cast. Unless fate steps in someway.

I still say they should revive the play and not make it a musical. The play is perfect as it is.

Casting will be announced officially shortly. It was all set but one of the girls had to drop out last minute however, I will say that I was thrilled to hear that the girl that pulled out couldn't do it. Her voice made my ears bleed! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will do well. I'm going to fly out to Cali to see it and I'm very excited for the prospect of this show.

I was crazy in love and obsessed with the version that aired on HBO years ago...Annette O'Toole was terrific.

I'm not really one to gossip and it certainly isn't my place to be "outing" anything about this show especially since I am not involved in any way shape or form. I have a friend who is in it who put the "T" in T-A-L-E-N-T-E-D and I am very excited to see this show and hear the score. I can tell you this, the crème de la crème of hot young Broadway actresses have auditioned and are being cast. Ya'll should be excited!

I think they are going to assemble a pretty good cast. I mean, if it is taking them this long to announce they must be trying to work some kind of magic. Judith Ivey will only use the best...

Huh - - my eagerness for more of the deets is definitely peaked. A friend of mine first saw an audition notice around last October, so CouldaWouldashoulda is probably right that they've seen everyone on Broadway by now.
Those are such great roles * * * at least in the play version -so I can't wait to see what they come up with.

Word on the street is that Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol will be playing the three leads.

Stiles will reprise the role of Joanne, which she originated in the show's world premiere production at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto back in 2006.

Kennedy will play Mary, the role originated by Megan Hilty, while van der Pol will play Kathy, the role originated by Leslie Kritzer.
