Will be interesting see what happens!

From the very first preview of this production, my friend and I commented "This should extend to play through June." I hope it happens and I hope this show is a huge hit. Excellent performances in an outstanding play.
FENCES should switch theaters, if possible.
They would have to do something like what GOD OF CARNAGE did if they want to keep Johansson onboard. Which may work out fine, but it would be difficult since either this production or FENCES would have to switch theaters (a tricky task, as the article notes).
Guess we'll find out soon enough.
That would be very tough since I'm sure they want to keep FENCES in as big of a house as they can get. Are there any other houses that size that might be open around that time?
At this point the only theatre they could switch to would be the Neil Simon.
According to the Playbill article, an extension doesn't seem likely.
"A wave of enthusiastic reviews for Broadway's A View From the Bridge prompted "close to $500,000" in box office sales on Jan. 25, the day after the revival of Arthur Miller's drama opened at the Cort Theatre.
The box office boost and the raves don't necessarily translate to an extension, however. A spokesperson told Playbill.com that the closing date of April 4 is firm. A limited 14-week engagement was planned. The Cort is already pre-booked for an April 14 launch of a revival of August Wilson's Fences.
The New York Times reported that co-star Scarlett Johansson has a film commitment in the spring."

"Yet ticket demand appears to be sufficient for producers to at least consider if an extension is possible, the executives said."
From the Times article.
How cute! its like a jukebox musical with quotes! you are fighting with what other people said!
what are you talking about? We are just stating stuff from different articles.
Can't Fences fit into the Neil Simon? It closes it the early summer, so it would have plenty of time to move out before Love Never Dies.
