About time! Great cast! Looking forward to it!
Yes!!! Finally. I kept checking this site and playbill.com seeing if they would post it. I know we already knew, but it's still good to have it confirmed. I will be there February 23, which I believe is the first night of previews. I'm so excited!
edited to add: and I know this is lame, but I actually just shed a tear when I saw that gorgeous photo of Karen Olivio next to her bio in the article. It's just so awesome that this girl that I feel so close to (obviously not personally, but just because of that fantastic role she created) and who really hasn't had that much work, is going to be ANITA!!! I'm all faklempt over here.

Karen is going to be incredible!
Can't wait to see this December 18th and 20th in Washington DC and then again in NYC. Congrats to Cavenaugh, Olivo, and the rest of the cast. Best Revival 2009 for sure.
I'll be seeing this in DC. Can't wait!
Kyle Brenn as "Boy Soprano,"
Who is "Boy Soprano"? Is that the character that used to be known as Baby John?

I don't think so because Ryan Steele is playing Baby John. If someone knows who boy sporano is, please tell us. Thanks.

I would assume the Boy Soprano would be the "Somewhere" soloist.Just a different take from before.
I've always wanted to see Anybodys sing it. That would be more poignant than a disembodied voice.
so excited about Karen Olivio! she'll be amazing

Trace, I'll be seeing it Dec 20th as well -- evening perf. Very excited to see it!
I had the pleasure of working with Jerry Freedman for many years -- he assisted Robbins on the original production, co-directed the Debbie Allen revival and has staged productions all over the world. It's a shame he hasn't been a part of this. But whatever Arthur wants ...
See you there, philcrosby!!
Looks like Manuel Herrera is back at the Palace Theater.
I'm so excited about Karen Olivo and Matt Cavenaugh! =]
Me too, Shannon Bo Dannon. This is such thrilling news.
Does anyone know who will be musical director/conductor?

I'm going to the evening show on Dec 20 as well
I can't wait for this production. I have to be honest, I am insanely jealous of all of these performers - WSS is my favorite musical of all time and I have always been desperate to be in it on Broadway! I played Action in high school, and it was maybe the most fun I have ever had onstage. Olivo is my main selling point, she will be spectacular. I should run and get tickets now...
Karen Olivio is going to be sensational and will most certainly get a tony nomination. Her A Boy Like That will bring down the house.

I hope for a nom for Karen too...and her bringing the house down with both America and A Boy Like That.
They are going to use the original all female AMERICA right? I hope so.
Definitely
Wow this is so exciting!
When will Olivo leave ITH then?
