Dr. Rank in A Doll's House
The Writer in The Good Doctor by Neil Simon (such a quirky, unique character)
The most? I don't know. But I enjoyed playing...
Michael in Peter Pan (my first lead)
Linus in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown
Pop in The Pajama Game
Kenny in Laughter on The 23rd Floor
^ I played Linus in Snoopy! It was fun. I liked being a boy for once.
The most enjoyable performance I think was playing Sally in a stage adaptation of Nightmare Before Christmas. I also enjoyed playing God in The General of Hot Desire and Anybodys in West Side Story. However, I think what makes Sally the most enjoyable was the sheer fact I did not expect the part at all. I just scribbled it down last minute under the "role(s) you want" section, read for it, and thought "It'd be great to get an ensemble role." Getting a call within the next day or so informing me that I had gotten a lead (or rather one of the bigger roles) was a surprise. Sally was so different from characters that I play or am drawn to, and it really helped me overcome a lot of insecurities I had regarding my singing voice. For the first part of rehearsals I felt uncomfortable singing "Sally's Song" because I felt it wasn't mine, that it belonged to Catherine O'Hara. The more I explored it and the more I explored the different avenues I could take with the role, it began to become less and less frightening. I still don't like the song, but I don't regret saying yes to the part.
Anybodys is a close second, truthfully, because that part also helped overcome my fear of dancing. I don't feel that's my strongest suite and playing a tough, no nonsense, crass tomboy was a lot of fun. It made me understand that I didn't have to be perfect. I enjoyed having freedom to explore the character and to have a director that felt comfortable letting me figure out what was best as far as voice and movement were concerned. I got to play and really put myself into someone else's shoes.

I had an absolute blast playing Ernie Cusack in Neil Simon's Rumors. It is an experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. The cast and crew were so close; it was incredible.
I also really, really had a great time playing Dr. Frank Gibbs in Our Town. That's a role that really challenged me as an actor. I'm used to playing over-the-top, comedic roles.

First, Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was thirteen, and everyone in the cast was close, and it was the most awesome role to play ever.
But coming in second place would surely have to be Lenny in Rumors, followed by Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace.

Man, it's hard to choose:
Hope - URINETOWN
Millie - THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE
Witch - INTO THE WOODS
Sally - REEFER MADNESS
Miss Preen - THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER
It's hard for me. I was cast all throughout my teens (and into my 20s before I switched to music direction) as the plucky/cute son in a whole bunch of shows and hated that. But, looking back on it, probably the role I enjoyed playing the most was James Keller in The Miracle Worker. It was a much harder role than I anticipated and allowed me to actually show my range for once. It just sucked that I only played the role at 18 because they cast absolute giants as Captain and Kate Keller; Kate was 5'11", Captain 6'4", so I guess the director figured they could get away with a 5'6" on a tall day James.

Mine are:
Baker in Into the Woods - it's just such a fun ensemble show.
Ugly in Honk! - lovely character and great songs.
Nathan in Guys and Dolls - really fun, 'character' part.
Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest - challenging, but hilarious.

Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream
Michael in Someone Who'll Watch Over Me
Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar
Cioffi in Curtains
Comes down to two:
Dolly in Hello Dolly (really who wouldn't love this role?)
Guinevere in Camelot the cast were very close friends and it was a joyful run.
No contest. I would have to be these two.
Golde in Fiddler on the Roof (my first lead role and the role that made me want to keep acting. I think it will always be at the top)
Sally in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (it had been on my list of dream roles so it was really nice getting to actually play her. Not to mentioned I made some of my best friends in that cast. It was overall just an amazing experience)
hmm...lets see
i LOVE playing marian in the music man (it was my first lead role; hence the message board name)
then a close second is probably the witch in into the woods...the cast was rlly close
The Baker in INTO THE WOODS - all time favorite
Judas in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR
Romeo in ROMEO AND JULIET
Drake in HONK!
The two that stick out for me:
1) The Bellhop in "Lend Me A Tenor"
2) The Lecturer in "Reefer Madness: The Musical" (tons of long paragraphs and character switches but such a fun two hours on stage).

Not exactly "a" role -- but the 10 Joe Sears roles in Greater Tuna (four productions), and 10 more in A Tuna Christmas (two productions). As I've said in my program bios -- it's more fun than any two actors should ever be allowed to have on stage.

Harold Hill - The Music Man
Puck - A Midsummer Night's Dream
Shelby in Steel Magnolias
Tuptim in The King and I
I've been very very lucky -- I can't just choose one:
Albin - "La Cage"
Brain - "The Shadow Box"
Andre - "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"
I usually work behind the scenes, but have had the guts to wander onstage as well a few times. My favourite: Elwood in HARVEY.
My first high school role was Roy in "The Odd Couple," and the hysterical rehearsal process and the audience responses made this my favorite acting experience.
This is going to sound odd, but since there weren't many girls on our drama class I've played some female roles as well so:
The Witch--Into The Woods
Roger DeBris---The Producers
Carlotta Champion---Follies (It was a concert performance but still)
Either Mr. Martin in The Bald Soprano or Carmen Ghia in The Producers.
Adam in Complt Wrks of Wllm Shkspr
Henrik in A Little Night Music
Tiny Tom in Urinetown
Joseph in Joseph...
Will in GLORY DAYS. I know it had a bad rep on B'way. But the show was really good and very relatable to everyone. I loved my character as Will bec it reminded me of my life back in HS. This show was beyond the 90 minute musical. It really is quite an eyeopener - makes the audience reminisce and reflect on their own stories.
Gordon/Squeegieman/Understudy - Roger/Mark in RENT. I love this experience because I was able to fulfill a dream. It was also awesome bec I got to learn most of the male parts in the show. I'm doing the show again in March and I can't wait
