Well....at a camp I went to, there were just about no boys, so all the girls had to play men in MANY parts of the show we did. I must say, it was ALOT of fun. But my favourite real role that I played was Alice Wendleken in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It's so much fun playing the snottiest girl in....well....an entire play.

Roxie in Chicago-how can you not have fun playing that part?
Annie Oakley in AGYG-It's so much fun but in a completly different way than Roxie
Wendy in Peter Pan-that part wasn't as fun as the aforementioned but I got to FLY! And that was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
And Benjamin in The Yellow Boat-A 19 year girl as a boy who ranges in age from infant to 8. It was so challenging and fun at the same time.
John Adams in my high schools 1776 last year....challenging, difficult, amazing!
OOh. Love this question....
Little Red in "Into the Woods" and Shannara/Susan/Mov't Coach and others in "Weird Romance" were both awesome experiences, but I just finished playing Keely in "Keely and Du" which was life-changing.

Believe it or not my favorite role was King Henry in a productino of Shakespeare's Henry V. Shakespeare tends to be more frustrating and difficult and therefore less "fun" to do than musical roles and even contemporary play roles. People are usually afraid of Shakespeare. It is like: Gasp, not Shakespeare any show but a Shakepeare show. But I love it. Especially Henry. So much power and arrogance. I can still recite the St. Crispin's day speech. "What's he that wishes so? My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin; If we are marked to die, we are enow to do our country loss. And if to live, the fewer men the greater share of honor." and so forth. Wow, I can't believe I remember that.

Coolest 11 o'clock number/death, and complex to boot. Should he hate Val Jean for letting him go or learn to forgive? That was the hardest descision.
