Curtain calls should be going on at about this time. Soon these message boards will be packed with people who were there, and even more people who wish they were there, but have to settle for reading reviews.
Please, everyone there or not there, consold all discussion about today's event in this post.
I don't expect this to happen 100%, but at least its a start as to preventing a billion posts.
Let the reviews begin!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Someone please post a transcript of Idina's speech. .. and all the details of what happened after she appeared (including when: curtain call or when she pops up through the trap door?)
I just got off the phone with a friend of a friend who saw the show, and reported that Idina DID NOT make her scheduled appearance at tonight's performance. Apparently, the doctors told her that it would be too strenuous for her to appear in the show tonight, so she simply gave a speech after the curtain call.
"Goodness is rewarded. Hope is guaranteed. Laughter builds strong bones. Right will intercede. Things you've said I often find I need, indeed. I see the world through your eyes. What's black and white is colorized. The knowledge you most dearly prized I'm eager to employ. You said that life has infinite joys."
I've always wondered, which one is you in your avatar?

I got bored waiting for reviews and I could no longer resist the urge to stir the pot.
Damn my malicious side.

ok, everyone, the negativity really isn't necessary. this is a pretty big issue regarding broadway musicals right now, and many people are interested to hear what happened. i realize that there are some fans that may annoy you, but you can just IGNORE them!
Well, SOMEONE needs a don't-take-things-so-seriously pill.

I'm getting anxious! The play has got to have been long over by now... either they're still doing their special Idina presentation or else all the posters who are at the play are still standing at the stage door.
this is really nerve-wrecking. i never thought i would care so much....... i guess i fooled myself. come on people.... post!! i also want to know what her speech was like---
"I am unfinished- I am diminished
With or without you..."
Thanks testing1232, that looked like a reliable source. I hope some of those flashes were from boardie cameras cause I want to see pictures!! Hmmm, perhaps someone had a digital camera with video feature???
It kinda pisses me off that Chistopher Fitzgerarld isn't getting any recognition, and he is scheduled to leave today as well. (Or was he already out due to illness?) Did he even perform tonight?
Where are you people?? I never thought I would care this much either! Please post details!
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
awwwwww. That makes me smile - at least she did get to have her moment, if only not as planned.
I didn't really think I'd be sad, though, about her departure. I guess now that I realize she's gone, I am. I'm not even that big of a Wicked fan... but.... gonna miss you, Idina.
