Shocking
Boringgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
Seriously, this was the best they could muster up at this point?
Wicked recycles AGAIN ugh lol...However I don't mind Michelle being brought back since it's been over four years since she was in the show and shes OBC.
They deserve each otheeeer...
Michelle Federer is perfect as Nessa, so I'm happy to see her return. As for Erin Mackey... could they have possibly picked a more dry toast pair for Elphaba and Glinda?
No, ColortheHours, they really couldn't. Throw Kevin Kern into that mix, and you have a completely dull trio.
Oh God. Is he still there? I've seen him once and it was like watching my dad play Fiyero. None of those cast members look the right age, but at least they look youthful. He looks old enough to play the Wizard.
That's how I feel, too. Here's a funny bit of irony about his age...he replaced Aaron Tveit as Fiyero (twice) so Aaron could do next to normal. Aaron played Gabe in next to normal (and Kyle does now). Kevin was a standby in next to normal at 2nd Stage....as Dan and the Doctors.

The casting of Erin actually makes a lot of sense. You wouldn't want someone to stand out considering the other two counterparts are as dull as watching paint dry.

Is Dee Ravioli still Elphaba?
Yes. she just started at the end of July (I think the 21st)

Bleh.
And her name is Dee Roscioli, not Ravioli.

Or Roscioli. I'm fairly certain Phyllis knows that, too.

Yeah I kind of figured it was a play on words but you never know
You all are making me hungry! Anywho, congrads to Erin, I actually like her Glinda.

I enjoy Erin Mackey. Great voice and *gasp* age appropriate!
Federer should be playing Morrible at this point... or is Nessarose suddenly Elphaba's DRASTICALLY older sister?
I also don.t understand why people get excited just because an original cast memebr returns, as though somehow, they are automaticaly superior to all others. No. MANY, MANY times they can, and will be, bested by people down the road.
Federer is not that much older than Cristy Candler, the current Nessa.

Unrelated, but Candler is also an original cast member. Related, though, Candler should have been out the door LONG ago.
I agree, broadwayguy2, about Candler. She's been phoning it in for awhile now.
I really wish they'd bring Brynn O'Malley back (the only person who ever really registered with me in the this role), but she's apparently moving on to bigger and better things. Why that woman is not a bigger name playing leading roles puzzles me, but that's for another thread entirely.
I've enjoyed the shows I've seen Brynn O'Malley in. I'm sorry I didn't get to see her as Nessarose.

Hiopefully O'Malley's time will come soon. She is taking great advantage of her opportunities now, however, and doing her best to show her range and skill set and not be shoehorned into ONE role in every show ala Chenoweth and Ms. Foster.
I wish I was able to see PCLO's Into the Woods, first and foremost, for her turn as the Baker's Wife.
I must add Jenna Green to the list, as Green and O'Malley were both standouts as Nessarose.
To say that Candler has phoned it in is to put it politely. As a performer, she also reeks of self importance in the vein of LuPone, which she will NEVER even hope of coming close to, and nothing will put me off of a performer faster than that.
Not sure where you live Broadwayguy2 (I assume NY) but she's also playing the Baker's Wife in Kansas City this September.
