Posted: 4/3/12 at 9:04amWhen it first opened back in 2003... 5. Now... 3. It's becoming tired and stale. It's still fun to watch, but the "magic," for lack of a better word, is gone.

Posted: 4/3/12 at 10:49amOne million. I see it at least once a year. It does not get old. It's just on a personal level for me. I don't care if anyone hates me for loving Wicked. I always will and no one can ever affect how I feel about it.

I haven't seen it on Broadway yet, but I saw a great touring production of it. I'd say about 7 stars out of 10. Due to unforeseen circumstances I missed the first 10 minutes or so and I'm living to see it again. I just read a great book by a former cast member, it's called Unnaturally Green. It's by Felicia Ricci-she went from Ensemble/Elphaba Understudy to Elphaba Standby in the SF cast.

Posted: 4/4/12 at 10:13amI don't think the show is strong enough to withstand a negative review by the NYTimes. We'll see. But, based on previews, Chenowith is a shoo-in for the Tony, regardless.

Posted: 4/4/12 at 10:16amI don't think I'd like it. I mean, I like things like BOOK OF MORMON, ONCE and SONS OF THE PROPHET. Oh, and I don't count my age on my fingers as "this many" anymore, either.

3 out of 5 stars. What I like best about Wicked is that it is a true book musical about a likable protagonist who wants something, the obstacles that stand in her way, and how she goes about getting it. A rare thing this past decade and a half.
But for a variety of reasons, most of which I couldn't detail as I haven't seen it since it was in previews, but which include an uneven score, I didn't love this show.
Popular and I Am Not That Girl are my two favorite songs; while there is a case for Defying Gravity as an exciting first act curtain, I was over that rangy power ballad style long before this show ever opened. Without question, though, if I had been much younger, I would have loved this song, so they knew what they were doing. Maybe I'm just older and wiser.... or, if you prefer, jaded and cynical.

I'd give it 6 out of 10 stars. It wasn't horrible but I have no desire to see it again.

3.5
Love the first act, but get pretty bored in the second.
#17WICKED reviews??
Posted: 4/4/12 at 2:06pmI can't believe the show has done so well with virtually no promotion!

"I don't care if anyone hates me for loving Wicked."
That's not the only reason...

Posted: 4/4/12 at 3:15pmHahaha, this thread is hilarious! Children Will Listen, I won't hate you for loving Wicked if you don't hate me for loving Book of Mormon. Deal?

Posted: 4/4/12 at 11:36pmI hear Streisand is playing Glinda in the movie version!
#23WICKED reviews??
Posted: 4/5/12 at 12:47am^That's only if she gets to sing Elphaba's songs as well. Because nobody sings in a Streisand flick except Streisand.

Posted: 4/5/12 at 10:29amWe don't hate those for loving Wicked. We just pity them and laugh at them. Don't forget to always belittle those who enjoy what you don't. It makes you more intelligent.
