Bought tickets months ago. Was stuck with them because the show closes tomorrow. Paid too much......JANET WAS OUT!?!! That was my only piece of excitement that I would see her. I could not believe it. Does anyone know why?

She was scheduled to be out this weekend.
She wanted to see the final performance of WONDERLAND.

What show and who's Janet?

If Janet's "out" does that mean she's a lesbian?
Damnit!
Actual answer: she's in Los Angeles. She's been scheduled to be out this weekend since at least May 1st (when Morgan James first announced that she'd be going on as Alice), but Janet will now be back for the final show tomorrow.
And I'll let you get back to your thread...
Morgan was actually a great performer, IMO. But the show was not.
Wait, I thought Janet was out of the show today...

Ahh. Showmance.
Good luck to them both.

Very cute, but weren't there multiple reports of the two of them being unable to show chemistry onstage...?
This is definitely my favorite sentence from that article:
"In the audience, there were tears of joy mixed with the sadness for the show closing."
As though the audience was crying of sadness, lol. Oh BWW, how you jest.
Their chemistry had definitely gotten better over the last few weeks, but in fairness, they are not supposed to be "lovers" in the show.
As far as tears being shed.... many at the stagedoor....
"Very cute, but weren't there multiple reports of the two of them being unable to show chemistry onstage...?"
As said above, there was no room for them to show chemistry in this production. They used to have a beautiful duet called "Love Begins," and there used to be a lot more Husband-wife action in the beginning, as well as more romance in Wonderland (which was somehow cut from the show in this incarnation, minus the one kiss).
Just returned from vacation to see this thread. Chalk up another notch on the critics guns. Bonnie & Clyde may not come as the backers make get tired of backing his shows . What a shame. Glad we saw it.
Why is the blame set on the critics? MOST of the people I know that saw it disliked it. I'm not saying you are wrong for liking it, because it's your opinion.
The critics don't have NEARLY the power they once did, not even close. MOST tourists pay absolutely no mind to reviews -- if they even bother to read them at all.
Their show was too expensive for the audience they were pulling in.
