Cabaret....more than any other show.
Les Mis is a close second, as are Lion King and Wicked.

"The Gin Game" with Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy - electric
"A Chorus Line" with the original Broadway cast - just thinking about Donna McKechnie's "Music and the Mirror" still gives me chills
"The Elephant Man" - what power from such simplicity
"Kiss Me, Kate," the PBS Great Performance of the 2000 Broadway revival - the first time I had ever seen this show done RIGHT, plus amazing performances by Rachel York and Brent Barrett - definitive, it never needs to be done again
"The Producers" on tour with Brad Oscar - I could not believe the brilliance of Susan Stroman's staging, which turned a cornball tribute to political incorrectness into a laugh riot
say what?

Posted: 9/27/04 at 3:04pmLes Miz and Rent are pretty much always my "WOWS". JCS also envoked some pretty heavy "WOWS" from me, but it was because Eric Kunze was the most gorgeous man I'd seen in a looooong time!! =0)

As I was watching the show I seriously felt like I was watching the 27 most talented people in the world.....it was that good. Posted: 9/28/04 at 1:31pmWicked-Even though I loved "Defying Gravity", the power of "No Good Deed" shook me. I think that "No Good Deed" is an amazing performance and that it is often overlooked. Idina is just a powerhouse no matter what!

Wicked- DEFYING GRAVITY is an amazing song and a great scene...the must see scene on Broadway right now. It will become as prestigious and praised as the chandelier (sp) in TPOTO. Then again, most of Elphabas songs in that show are absolutley spine-tingling.
Gypsy- Bernadette Peters' performance was flawless. She was amazing and made me go back two more times. Bernadette's ROSES TURN was chilling.
