I believe this is the third time we have seen her audition for a musical on the show.
For Cabaret, she sang a Celine Dion song. There are some Celine Dion songs that could have worked, but not Taking Chances.
For West Side Story, I don't remember what she sang for her specific audition, but she and Mercedes sang Out Here On My Own for their callback (remind me again why anyone would audition/be asked to audition for Maria with a belty song).
I know those two are for high school productions, so the standards of audition songs are lowered, but the Journey song is par for the course.
Hopefully, the flashback to the first episode signifies that things are coming full-circle and will soon stop.

Oh, god. I just had a horrible thought: what if they decide this would be a great way to seque into an announcement??
I would cry.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
