Jokes aside, people are predicting Betsy Wolfe. I'd love to see Stephanie J Block take on that role. She'd slay it.

I wonder if Sara will return in the winter to keep the show open. Otherwise I don't see it lasting past New Year's.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

If the advance sales fall off a cliff, they could just end it after Sara ala The Color Purple when Cynthia left. I really don't see where they go from here.

Waitress has been in the black every week for a year and is currently one of the hottest tickets on Broadway. Right now the show is at 118% gross capacity. Compare that to Kinky Boots, one year ago today it was at 48.8% gross capacity and a year later it is still running. Or On Your Feet, one year ago was at 55.7% gross capacity -- still running a year later.

While I can imagine a world where the show closes by New Years, I just don't see any historical evidence that suggests the show is heading in that direction even after Sara leaves the cast.

That's really cool, I'd love to see her in this as well!

And yea, the show has recouped so they can afford to keep it running as long as they make even just a small profit, so I don't know that they need to be worried atm.

Though it should be interesting to see how much longer the show can last without a big deal performer in the starring role.

I'm just kind of in awe at how all these "rumors" end up being true. Almost everything that has been rumored for the past couple years has turned out to be true.

Betsy will be fantastic but Valentina3, now I can't get the idea of Stephanie J. Block as Jenna out of my head!

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Another Elphaba who would equally slay the part, Carmen Cusack.

Just in terms of dream casting Jenna, this show could keep going for a few years!

Rumors are based on something, they don't just appear out of thin air.
