To be fair, that's what most people said about Mike Faist last year. I don't think he's likely to get one over Phillip or Alex, but I wouldn't beshockedif he was nominated."
Connor is much more of a meatful role than Daniel, So Faist has much more to work with.

Bumping because we now have knowledge of Josh Henry's performance and how it may stack up.
Considering that it hasn't gotten the raves that many were expecting, is there now a realistic chance that Ethan Slater wins the Tony? Shalhoub doesn't seem to have momentum and I don't think Haden-Patton or Nolan will seal the deal either.
Is SpongeBob about to become a Tony-winning character?
^Yeah I think I posted something in the other thread about this. It's disappointing that her performance didn't turn out to be all that had been hoped for. That's probably true for that whole revival in general.
I still think Joshua is the frontrunner for Best actor and I think Jessie and Lindsay will be nominated. Although looking at the competition in supporting actress, Lindsay might have a strong chance.
Realistically, who will be Andrew Garfield’s competition for Lead Actor in a Play? I cannot imagine anyone else living up to what he does. Anyone in Cursed Child?
I think Frozen has a shot at scoring a design award or two, but I really don't think Mean Girls will win anything. Its best shot was probably Best Book and that belongs to Itamar Moses, so...

The only reason why I am going to broadway now. Is to see the original actors in cursed
I think the majority of people who see Cursed Child will be shocked at how much, at its core, is a father-son story, and with deep dramatic elements. Jamie Parker won the Olivier for Best Actor, and after seeing him play the role in London last summer, I can absolutely see why. Having seen Angels this past week, I would personally give the Tony to Jamie for Harry Potter, but I'm imagining the Tony Voters to eat up Andrew Garfield more.

Just realized it’s probably a moot point - Denzel Washington will probably win.

Quite frankly anyone who could get me to root for that little yellow sponge and care if he succeeded deserves a tony.
We don’t even know if Caissie will be eligible for lead, I can see her being placed in the featured category leaving Patti for lead.
