I am wondering what time the line starts forming for a Saturday matinee for Wedding Singer stduent tickets? I appreciate all of your help and thank you in advance:)
You can get there right before the show starts because after they sell the front row they'll sell what other seats that have available.
I got there at 9:30.

Is the rush hard to win? I'm going up on Saturday, and was just wondering if its hard to win & how much it is.
I don't know how much it is, I think its $25, but you don't win or lose. You go and get rush tickets.
I saw it on Wednesday, got there at 9, but I'm pretty sure you could've gotten there a little later, and still would've gotten them. But as I always say, better earlier than later.
BTW tickets were $26.25

I got there at noon. I was the only person on the right side of the front row.

Can you get rush tickets for the EVENING show in the morning? Or do you have to wait until after the matinee? My dad is coming for a visit this weekend and I want to take him to the matinee of Drowsy and Wedding Singer in the evening.
Yes, I am almost positive. When I was on line for the matinee they asked me morning or night show. But you may want to call the box office if possible.
and it's student rush, right? not regular old rush? do they check ids?

What time does the box office open? Noon?
I think that the box office opens at 10am, they do ask for student ID, but if you look very young you might be able to get away with it. I wouldn't go to the theatre before 10am.
1) They sell night & matinees at the same time.
2) Student rush, and they do check IDs
3) 10:00 AM
True that. Unlike Jersey Boys, they really checked my student ID, they didn't just give it a passing glance.
Are they still doing student rush? It's not listed on playbill.com.
The show seems to be selling better with the Tony nomination, plus the word-to-mouth has been good, it is selling very well, but i think you can still get student tix. Just go at 10am.
There has only been one big boost since the nominations were announced, since we don't know last week's grosses yet - so how can you say something so unfounded?
Good word of mouth? Of everyone I know (in the theatre business and out), I'm the only one that actually enjoyed myself.
I don't know, I've seen WS several times, and the audience went nuts each time. Seems to be a crowd pleaser.
think there are any rush tix left for tonight's show?
I don't know if this is any help at all, but I rushed today. I got there maybe 10:20 and got seats very close to the center, 110 and 111 in the front row for the matinee.
I checked the Talkin Broadway rush policies, and it says the seats are generally partial view. After reading what other people got, I'm guessing that is not accurate?
It is partial view, but the seats are still amazing.
They had no tickets left at around 12:30 today.
because of the height of the stage, there are moments where the view is partial. like stephen lynch crawling on the ground for a few seconds before getting up on the bed... it's not like hairsprays front row though where you're so close and the stage is so high you barely see above people's knees. its on barely partial view i'd say.
What is a good arrival time for wednesday matinee rush tickets, now that its after the Tony's. Should I get there earlier than 10 now?
I got there around 12:15 yesterday and barely made it to get the last rush ticket. I'd get there by like 9:30 or so, just to be safe.
