Aww, that was a cute song. Though when I saw it, Laura got hit in the face with the mop, so... to quote her.. "this is dangerous"
Anyhow.
Spanger back? My boyfriend wants to see this this weekend but I won't take him unless Amy is back, I'm a huge fan.

Now what would you say if today I started over?
Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover
And I'll pretend like everything is already alright
And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight

Have they given Laura a solo in Act II?
Have they given her any better costumes?

Amy Spanger actually plays Julia on the demo.

Is the wig still there? BTW, I liked Right on Time -- it was catchy, and she was supposed to get hit in the head with the mop I thought, right?

No, she was supposed to catch it - which she did beautifully on Friday night - it was super coordinated - she stuck her hand out and caught it almost without looking, it was very smooth. Then saturday (don't ask, I had out of town guests, yes I went twice in a row) she stuck her hand out but like... the mop was either late or early and when she turned to look for it, it came out and popped her a good one in the face. She didn't miss a beat with singing, but did say something about it being dangerous after her verse finished.
I was actually amazed that she didn't stop singing because it looked like it really hurt, she was a real pro, she just went to get it (it fell downstage of her) and carried on.

Aw, I liked the scene on the loading dock
Wait, Amy Spanger is Julia on the demo? It doesn't sound anything like her.

Julia is the lead, right? I haven't seen the show yet, and can't remember the movie. But she's the one that sings "I Wonder" and "If I Told You", etc, etc.

Yup, that's Julia.
I always thought Amy was Holly on the demo. "Saturday Night in the City" sounds identical to her.

She sings all of the female solos, I think. Julia and Holly.

"Amy Spanger actually plays Julia on the demo."
I don't think so. There are 3 demos. One with someone from Wicked who was brought in to do the demo, one with Ali Mauzi (sp?) and a recent one with Laura.
Demo 1:
It's Your Wedding Day
Letter From Linda
Not That Kind of Thing
Saturday Night In The City
All About The Green
Single
If I Told You
Demo 2
It's Your Wedding Day
Wonder
Not That Kind of Thing
Saturday Night In The City
All About The Green
If I Told You
Single
Grow Old With You
Demo 3
It's Your Wedding Day
Come Out Of The Dumpster
Single
Grow Old With You
Note that Wonder has been cut from the show.

All these changes are starting to make me sad. I saw it's out of town run and I loved it... dialogue was a little slow, but othwerwise I loved it... so it's a bummer they took out that song, along with all the other changes... just leave it be!!!!!!

I have two friends who saw the show last night and told me the following:
Whoever was playing Julia had a blonde wig
"Right on Time" was in the show
There was no mop thrown during this number
I don't know how right they are, but that's what they said...

I actually saw the show last night too and here's what's changed.
(Spoilers, kinda)
Right on Time is cut. The song is now, something like, "All I Need is You". I think it's cute and catchy. Except, while Robbie is getting ready for his Wedding with his Grandma, Robbie sings like, 4 lines from Right on Time. But at the altar, he sings the new song "All I Need is You".
There are a lot of scene changes too. And during the "Awesome" song, they took out Julia's line about the possum. Which I liked but, it is gone.
