I was always more of a Monopoly girl. Didn't they used to have somehting like a make-your-own-opoly? LOL. I should make a Rent one, and then I could buy Mark and Roger and build a hotel on them.
This is the last one I'll post, I promise. :p

When I play, it's never Miss Scarlet. I'm always Miss Scarlet, and I'm a good girl.

Mandi I love that icon.
There where a few I saw on the Inapropo journal that had me laughing out loud as well. I wish I where that handy with computers. Last time I tried it started freezing up on me and making funny clicky and "beep beep" sounds. So I stopped before it did something really troublesome like blow up in a mushroom cloud of doom or something. ........eh yeah I'm kind of tired from a long show tonight, please ignore the inane rambling.
And Anthony, if you're still reading and lurking hope all is going well! Hope sony allows you to post soon, we all miss you around here.
Heh this is completely random and off topic but my friend made me a little cell phone holder with some left over material based off Mark's costume in RENT and I just found it in my drawer. :-P It's so cute.

Anthony's enthusaism is so absolutely adorable. *snuggles*
I love the song he sings and he was just so gorgeous (green is definitely your color, Ant)...and Daphne looked good *gawk, gawk, stare, drool* and Adam...well, Adam always looks good. *hides the pictures of him with blue hair...and the one with the red pants...and the bad shirt collection...and...* Okay, looks good most of the time.

Any one who's interested:
This is National Novel Writing Month, (which I will call NaNo) and my novel "Love Makes A Family" is up on LJ. Basic plot: A girl *points to self* and her five friends (One based greatly on Anthony and one based greatly on Adam) look for love, sex, joy, fun and meaning in New York Between (the fey version of New York, because my character is magical and that's where it takes place).
http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=lovemakesfamily
Lots of random references, including (so far): a few Rent, Adventures in Babysitting, LOTR, and Sports Night. It's good for a laugh.
*stops self promoting...though it does have Anthony in it...kinda*

Posted: 11/5/05 at 2:01pmWelcome all. Anthony's enthusiasm about Elvis was adorable, he spoke about how much he loves him during the concert and also about Friends in Deed and Jonathan Larson's association w/ it and such. He's so passionate and eloquent, I love when he speaks. Also he spoke more w/ me after about how much he loves Elvis Costello and started recommending CDs for me b/c I didn't know his songs lol.

Posted: 11/5/05 at 2:43pmThanks for the welcome! The video from the Brilliant Mistake concert is so cool, thanks for posting it... it's awesome to see so many awesome performers pay tribute to Elvis Costello, who's one of my favorite musicians anyway. :)

Is Anthony going to be permitted to post again once the film opens??
I know he's lurking around here at the moment, would be nice if he could speak up if he feels the desire.
Happy Birthday Anthony!#3638
Posted: 11/5/05 at 2:56pmIt would be really amazing if he did! I'm not sure how those things work, though...maybe after the movie blog is taken down?

I try not to nitpick! The film it was it is, nothing anyone says in going to change it, so why be nitpicky? Be happy it got made into a film, because that's just plain awesome!

"Be happy it got made into a film, because that's just plain awesome!"
Well, if it's not a good movie, then it's not that awesome, but I'm trying to be optimistic.

Due to recent events, as long as it's not a steaming load, I'll be happy.
Eep, if I was famous or something, I don't think I could stand reading anything negative about the stuff that I've done. It would drive me crazy. I can't even handel slightly nagative fanfic reviews...so kudos to Anthony for actually reading those reviews. (If he has that is.)

Very true MrMidwest! However the reviews it has gotten from people who've seen it dont appear that that's the case. I'll be honest I've had my share of doubts, just not expressed them vocally, in any sense. I'm glad your being optimistic, we shall wait and see.

I was just very let down by the POTO movie and I don't want to have the same experience with Rent. I'm just not going to raise my expectations too high.
I want musicals to be big in popular culture again and hopefully Rent will help to do that.

Posted: 11/5/05 at 6:15pmI honestly think that if you're a fan of the show, you'll find something to like, even if you're still ridiculous and hung up on the color of Roger's pants. It's the story you love, so you won't totally hate it. If the critics can't grasp the emotion and the beauty of the message, screw them. I'm sorry, but I can't take seriously the opinion of someone who needs to straight-up make fun of a piece. That's not criticism, that's just low. I won't be offended by the bad reviews or whatever, because everyone's entitled, but honestly? That one was pa.the.tic.
