Mandi, I hope you get back to the internet soon!
And colleen, I have no idea!
I should be making dip for the Ritz sticks now...it's the only thing I'm allowed to make. I mean, I only put the plastic plate in the oven once! (I wasn't exactly paying attention...). Mmmm...turkey...You know what's also strange, the soda, wine and whipped cream are in the snow on the back porch in order to stay cold. Apparently, my mom didn't want to put them into the refridgerator.

Haha I've only had one...no two incidences with dished and glass cups.
One, I placed-*placed* the glass cup in the sink, I turned around and it shattered. Maybe something to do with the difference in temperature
Two: I was taking a bowl out of the cabinent, and it was still wet from the dishwasher and I accidently threw it like a frisbee and it slammed against the pantry door then broke into pieces when it hit the door then the floor.
So, three cheers for us!! Hey, that means we never have to do a lot of work!

So I'm going way off topic again, but did anyone get a funny feeling when they showed that random shot of NYC that had the twin towers in it? I feel like it's been such a long time since they have just had a regular shot like that, without burning buildings or planes or some song/poem about remembering 9/11 attached to it.

Did anyone read/ remember what article it was that started talking about Rent fans and how the message board on IMDB were "just buzzing" with Rent news?
EDIT: ouch! that little article isn't pretty

I figured it had, but I didn't find anything upon search, so I threw it up there.

Is Anthony Rapp still posting on the board?
MassOfMen on 5/17/07: "and lastly, I have no vested interest in LB. I have seen the show, I paid my money (a lot of money for that tix) I didn't watch it on a bootleg, yes I saw the flesh and bone of the people up there working their tails off. But do I really have to explain myself to you? are you the judge jury and executioner of Bwyworld.com message board? no.
But I digress, I will leave this subject as I am bored of the rebuttals anyway, and go back to "wasting my time" with the job of building buildings. We have chat boards for architects as well, ya know."

Hester: Yes.
I think I've decided to post a more public review in its own thread. Here's to hoping I don't get lynched by RENT thread haters.

Yes, he last posted yesterday.
Though he doesn't post a ton, he is lurking around on here quite a bit.

Go ahead Lari! I think lots of people that are scared to venture into this thread simply because of the pure magnitude will want to read it too! And, it isn't COMPLETELY about the RENT movie...

Aye, aye, Lari! *salutes*
Hmmm, the article definitely doesn't do good things for us. But we all have our not so pretty moments, right?

HAPPY TURKEY DAY/TOFURKEY DAY!
Lari- absolutely beautiful review. You've got me even more excited for this book, if at all possible. The part about feeling as if you shouldn't be reading something so honest- wow. This is gonna be an incredible book.
YAY FOR WAX LION! I've gotta look for it in the movie, this will highly amuse me.
And wow, that article was not pretty. I think part of it was a misunderstanding and a misreading of words(because it is so hard to figure out someone's tone by reading words alone). I also think Anthony defended himself and the movie very well and very calmly(although I could feel distinct anger boiling under the words, or maybe that was just me?).
Either way, theres always going to be bad reviews and people insulting you, no matter how great you are. I remember watching an interview where Idina says she doesn't even check messageboards anymore because theres so many people who insult her.

It would be tough to be in that situation. Like you all said, there is no way that everyone in the world will like you and someone will always insult you, but it would be so hard not to take it personally and read everything as someone as famous as Idina or Anthony. They work so hard, and their passion is there performing, of course they want everyone to like them.

I've decided that I'd have more of a life if I would at least go see Rent WITH people, lol. My friends are gonna go with me on Saturday, and my Aunt and Mom are going to see it sometime this week. I couldn't wait to go see it though, obviously.
