Lari,You are allowed to because you are one of a very few people that read the book. Since you do have the opportunity to talk to him about it, I'm glad you did contact him, and from your review, I can tell the book is really personal.

It just needs tweaking and editing. There are a bunch of typos here and there, but they're easily overlookable and will be eliminated in the final version. You know what was meant.
I'm not even sure if there will be photos in the final version.

as eloquent as all of his bww posts are, and his tv interviews, im guessing that the way he talks about his personal life is really going to "get to" people

It really made me think because I could relate to what he was writing about on... many different levels.
I did not cry, but I certainly felt for what had happened to him and what he was feeling.
Edit: AHA, I DO remember him saying it would contain his photography. Another reason why I'm buying the final copy...

As I said, I probably will. Just to see if I missed anything on my first run-through.
And I know I've said this before, but I can't reiterate this enough: IT'S SO DAMN PERSONAL.
I wouldn't blame him for being nervous about the publication, but I hope most readers will take the text in a similar way I did.
