never playin' the fame game... well, except for Adam

I had some trouble with the video. I couldn't play it at all in Mozilla, and in IE, it would only play with Windows Media.

I love using the picture program picasa because all my picture folders are neatly organized on one side of the screen. I'm the type of person who just pulls out a photo album or my yearbook or the rent bible and starts randomly looking at stuff for no reason. so picasa's good. you should get it if you don't have it - and it's free too.

I got it to work using Real Player, but Quicktime didn't work for me. I hate Windows Media Player, so that would have been my last resort.

I usually use Quicktime, but it didn't work. Then I used Realplayer and it worked--until it got to Taye, so I finished with Windows.

Sorta off-topic, but I'm still talking about Rent videos and Anthony.

I was just watching the View interview and there was this part where Taye was going to let Anthony tell a story, and Elisabeth cut him off. I'M SOO PISSED. I wanna know what that story was. never playin' the fame game... well, except for Adam

FYI the bag lady did curse (I dont need no god damn help) it is like the mf artists, but I dont think it was taken out just cause it was bad words...my mom was shocked that it got PG-13 with two f bombs.

I believe PG-13's can get away with no more than 2 F-bombs....for some reason, you can say it twice, but three times gives it an R-rating. I know that sounds weird, but I'm 99.9999% sure that's the deal. And what the bag lady said doesn't fall into that. You can say sh*t a few times and other curses, but really it's the F-bombs that cause the rating to go up.

And to what someone else said....I'm not doubting other curses were cut. That's why I was asking at what point during production did Chris decide to go for the PG-13, if there originally were many more curses. I wish Anthony would come on here and answer if it was Chris that decided, or the head honchos that made the decision for him. I'm just interested as a film student how that works out.

Did you know that Anthony is the doctor of my dreams?

No, I did not! Something tells me there's a possiblity of a good story coming out of this.

They cut several random f*cks. The only one you'd recognize as missing as a direct translation from the libretto, though, is the one in the bag lady's line.

My god you people move quickly, okay, when was the Adam car noises bit, because I think I either missed, or as per the usual, something about my internet went haywire. I have to agree, I think Anthony's got some interesting things to say, eh c'est la vie I guess.

ok quick funnyish rent/anthony story...

My mom and I were at the mall and she looked into the window of some store (i forget which) and was like "oo look a Mark scarf!" and almost bought it for me but I told her not to... Later she was just randomly like "I'm going to get you that scarf cause that is like Anthony's an dhe is cute and wow he and kyle could be twins and you should meet anthony soetime. He is funny and cute and you two would become best friends from what i know about him (this was after The View aired and she watched). And I laughed cause she was so excited about it and keeps saying what is the actor that plays Rogers name again? it is just cute!

Aww...your mom sounds really fun! My mom doesn't like RENT. She thinks I'm strange for being a RENThead. *sigh* She just doesn't get it. Oh well!

And Anthony - I dunno, just the sight of his face, or the sound of his voice, and this huge grin spreads across my face. It's like this: because he's so kind to everyone (especially the fans), and so... just wonderfully unique, and talented, and so kind, whenever I see him, even though I only met him once for a brief second, I feel like I'm looking into the face of an old friend.

I feel like I've known him for years. Because he's managed to stay real, among fame-crazed celebrities who have ultimately gone on to do bigger and not nessecarily better things, and who have lost the respect of many people. Do you realize that after he's become semi-famous, he still (sometimes) posts here (not that his posts are directed to us or this thread anymore, but still)? He doesn't have a huge ego (like some other people who were with him at the same starting point - we've already discussed that, though), and he probably never will. Or at least I hope not. And that is why we love Anthony, and why we still have tremendous respect for him.

So nicely put. He seems like such a great person. I've liked him for a realllly long time ...even before I knew who he was!! Well, because when I was a youngin' I loved "that orange haired kid" in Adventures in Babysitting. -- hahah...did any of you see Far From Home? (I don't even know why I'm asking that, I know the majority of you have!) -- Is it not the oddest thing in the world to see him playing some psycho killer while retaining such an innnocent looking baby face! Love it! He's so interesting.

huh? We were talking about the picture skittles took of Adam and I at Symphony Space. He looks a little high in the first one.

I have... a lot. I'm one of those people who takes a lot of pictures to begin with, at events or of things that are important to me.

Yeah, I got a pic with him too! Adam, that is...he has such girly eyelashes! But they only add to his cuteness. I'm still annoyed with myself for not asking Anthony for a picture...but I had been talking to him for a minute or two and then just felt asking for a picture after that would downgrade the short convo. But at least I got a hug. <3 <3 Anthony.

haha my mom is really fun!!! The second she heard about the movie she wanted me to take her to it. She loves musicals and is really open minded...I am soooo lucky on that one. She does think I'm a little obsessed but she gets it! Which is AWESOME
