never playin' the fame game... well, except for Adam

dmb -- the height difference between Anthony and I is like two or three inches at best (I'm shorter) and one of my friends managed to cut his head off.

I'm on a mission to get the PERFECT photo of Adam and I.

He has now been made aware of the mission.

I wish I could get my mom to truly appreciate Rent. She likes the music of it, but that's really as far as she'll let herself go. She is an obsessive Christian, which is stopping her from being able to want anything to do with the story...for reasons I'm sure you can guess. But it's weird...she's not as super crazy as some Christians tend to be. She loooves Harry Potter...she's never been strict about anything...but I think lately she just clings to the Bible and all that stuff ....it makes me mad just thinking about some of the stupid stuff that comes out of her mouth!

sigh.

Yeah the picture I got with him is just wayyy too close-up. It's just our faces. He looks cute but I look not so great in it! So I'm just keeping that one in my drawer for personal gratification. Wait, that sounds bad. Haha.

*pets it*

I'm writing some things down as I go that I want to talk to *someone* about when I'm through, but I'm going to save most of it.

i'm salivating in awe, thinking of his intelligence and him putting pen to paper...or well, fingers to keyboard......thinking how sweet of a book it's going to be. has it come off as touching to you? emotional? i will probably cry reading about the part with his mom, if he gets very detailed about that. i had to basically watch my dad die a 5 year death, weeeeee! so yeah. :o(

It's EXTREMELY emotional. I believe Emcee will back me up on this.

Yeah, I'm already losing my mind, and I've only gotten through the first chapter, which is about the first Rent workshop. But not that I'm not an emotional mush.

I admit to being a much more analytical mind than Emcee, and... yeah, it's powerful.

You'll probably cry about his mother, then. never playin' the fame game... well, except for Adam It's extremely depressing. He focuses mostly on his own feelings through the ordeal, a good choice to show others in a similar position that they're not alone.

It's okay to emote! Something like this needs that emotive response!

I sometimes feel like I detach myself too much in certain situations.

when I get the book, I probably won't allow myself to read it in public. just reading an interview with anthony and taye online about jonathan made me start crying.

Have you seen the video about Jonathan Larson on the Rent website? I can't watch that without crying. I started crying last week just listening to tick tick BOOM. Then I saw Al Larson hugging Raúl Esparza at Symphony Space and I almost lost it again.

Esparza.

He played Jonathan in Tick, Tick... BOOM!

And he's one of the most gorgeous, talented, beautiful (inside and out) articulate, intelligent, gracious, down-to-earth people on the face of the earth.
