Keep in mind Blonde might not be able to afford a move.
And,If I recall The Nederlander housed mostley plays and not that many big musicals until Rent. And from what I have read the back wall that you see in Rent really is the back wall of the theatre and because of the lack of set in Rent you get a good view of the wings if your sitting in the side of the orchestra and to me at leasat they look pretty small.
I guess In The Heights COULD fit in the Nederlander but now that they won best musical and sales are picking up I doubt the nederlanders would force them to move considering that when a show's tickets sell well the owners of the theare profit off of it as well. I also don't think that if In The Hights can't afford the move that the Nederlanders wouldn't force them to move if they couldn't considering that the Nederlanders would profit from them being at either the Rodgers or The Nederlander.

also, one thing to keep in mind, is that just because a theater's pit (or anything about the theater) doesn't seem big enough now, it doesn't mean it will stay that way. Billy Elliot has practically blown up the entire Imperial to make the entire stage rise from below, like mine shafts, so.... who knows how a remodeled Nederlander might look.
I don't think the Nederlander could manage all of the set pieces that Legally Blonde has. Think about how much comes in from the floor and the sides. In the Heights would be the most logical move since the set is stationary.
It is still hard to judge though since we don't know the designs for WSS. I'm sure the bigger issue will be the orchestra though, as we've been talking about.
Legally Blonde has only been making over 700k in the past few weeks because of the time of year. Is it going to be making that much come January or February? Doubtful. The only Nederlander theaters big enough to cover a production of this size that don't have a Disney show or Wicked in them are the Palace and the Neil Simon. Between Hairspray and Legally Blonde, Hairspray probably has the brighter financial future despite the fact that it has been open for nearly six years and has made more money so far this year than Legally Blonde. Exactly. Just because they are not releasing all the details, does not mean they are not in the works. If they are announcing a Nederlander Theatre, then something is happening, either shows moving, closing, etc, that the producers of those other shows do not want revealed yet.
The Lion King wouldn't move again, would it? Or The Little Mermaid? Seems like Disney could move one of the shows they know has legs to the Hilton (or do they have an agreement with Nederlander?) and free up one of those houses. I just really can't imagine any of these shows fitting in THE Nederlander.
