With Evita returning to Broadway, what other shows by this great composer should be seen on the great white way?
Any casting suggestions?
There are alot of rumors about Aspects re-opening after the success of the London revival.
But what about his other pieces:
Whistel Down the Wind, Sunset, Starlight Express, Song & Dance, etc.?
Whistle Down The Wind ... with a GOOD director who has a vision could work.
Also The Beautful Game (The Boys in the Photograph), which is an unusual piece for ALW could be nice in an intimate theatre.
I'm rather hoping he gets Love Never Dies right first ... beautiful score.

Cats. Starring the cast of Glee!
Seriously, Jesus Christ Superstar never gets old. The source material is timeless. And the score is awesome. Maybe with Darius de Haas.

All of them. At the same time. With Sarah Brightman playing all the characters!!!
Starlight Express never got the attention it deserves.

I only want this revived if they bring back Jane Krakowski and the costume she wore on 30 Rock!
Evita and Aspects are the ONLY ALW shows I can even stomach. (And my guess is that if Aspects returns, I'll find it just as annoying as I find his other work.)
I want a revue. He has some dynamite songs, but his shows all suck. A revue seems to me the best way of fixing this.
Please please please don't let it be CATS. I actually think a review could be nice. Each of his shows has a song or two that I like but none of his shows really work great as a whole. Example: Song & Dance...I love "Tell Me On A Sunday" but I find the concept of the show itself sub-par.
The 2009 West-End production of Sunset Boulevard.
Sunset Boulevard. With completely new lyrics.
In fact, completely new lyrics for any show he wrote the music for past the 1980s.

I like ALW's scores but honestly none of his shows are very good. I don't even care for Phantom.
If I had to pick one I guess it would be Sunset Blvd.
The title of this show should be "What ALW shows should be revised" instead of "revived" because they are all plagued with problems and inconsistencies.

By Jeeves, but only if they can get Fry and Laurie to reprise their BBC roles in the musical.
Sunset Boulevard with Fran Drescher as Norma and Charles Shaughnessy as Max. Role reversal!

I loved the last revival of Evita....why are they touring that dated version?
JCS was the thing that got me into theatre when I was about 8 so that is close to my heart.
And Sunset was just fantasic - though just didnt fancy the new version...
