In England, it is (or should be!) a criminal offense to not knowing anythig about Star Wars! Well, the 3 original movies anyway.
Well, we may give it a go, after Lynnespock2's statement. Thinking about it, I really dont know how Fisher could be compared with Griffin. One is an obnoxious foul mouthed fame hungry fool, and the other lady was in Star wars. Nuff Said!

"You can know about Star Wars, but that doesn't mean you have to actually see them."
I know about them just very little. Obviously I know some of the main characters but could not tell you what any of them are about.
"And I don't know what business a 14 year old has being at Wishful Drinking anyways."
And what is that suppose to mean? You don't know me, so you have no right to tell me where I belong or don't belong.

"It's still etched in pop culture."
I forgot everything in pop culture is common knowledge for every single person, my apologies.

It's Star Wars, I'm not asking you to quote the damn thing.
No I don't have any business telling you where you should go Chita but your parents do. And you're awfully defensive about everything aren't you?

Well you have no idea what I can see and can't see. It can't be any worse than Hair which I've seen 10 times.
And when someone insults me I am insult with.

Posted: 10/2/09 at 7:51pmAlmost everyone seems to be liking this show so far, but I just have a thing about one-person shows, no matter how gifted the performer. I doubt I'll go and probably will live tohe regret it, but that's my problem. Happy for all of you who had a good time!

"And when someone insults me I am insult with."
What?
I have no idea, I think I tried to reword what Iw as saying.
I meant to say, when someone insults me I will get defensive.

I may have to agree with Mildred. A 14 year old would be completely out of place at Wishful Drinking. My friend and I are in our early 20's, and we were probably the youngest ones there.

Posted: 10/3/09 at 11:39pmI saw it today and was indeed the youngest one there, I often get a lot of strange looks and responses when people see some random kind alone at a theater. I liked the show, of course with a few more years of knowledge I would love it. Not seeing Star Wars did not effect my experience. I am not running to see it again but I suggest many of you do go see it. My favorite of the season.

Im kinda of Eh about the whole 14 year old thing (No disrespect intended). You seem very mature and very unlike most 14 year olds, but when you say 14 out loud it just seems weird :P
I am glad you liked it however and I cant wait to see it tommorow. Did you stage door??

Posted: 10/4/09 at 12:03amNo I didn't stage door. I used to sort of like it but I don't really care anymore. Sure this probably would've been a good one to Stage Door but whatever. I was one of the first ones out and the stage door area was completely empty. I didn't want to be the only one or one of the only ones so I just kept walking. Also I had heard from others Carrie is just in a so so mood at the stage door.

Posted: 10/4/09 at 12:30amI saw it today in a very full, appreciative house and really liked it--and Ed, I'm not much one for one-person shows either. I was wondering whether to recommend it to my daughter, because names like Eddie Fisher don't mean much to her generation...but maybe that's not so important. I did go to the stage door, chatted with Carrie and asked her to sign my Playbill. She looked a bit wiped out (understandably) from the show but was friendly to all.
