I really think a show like Charity will be eaten up by Vivean Beaumont. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for My Fair Lady (#Benantiorbust) as well, but that will mean it will go empty for much of the year of 2017 sadly.

I highly doubt LCT would house a transfer from another theatre company. And this Charity is going for an intimate, feel. Something that would be lost in the Beaumont.

Time to separate fact from fiction on this topic. LCT has been looking at a revival of MFL for the past couple of years. Currently, the rights are owned by the Nederlanders, so that would necessarily involve LCT purchasing them. This information was confirmed several months ago in a statement made by Andre Bishop.
I hesitate to even give mention to a previous comment made here, by someone who's obviously very fond of posting comments clearly intended to garner personal attention at the expense of rational thought, but needless to say, Chevy Chase is not under consideration.

The Lincoln Center transferred the Tony award winning War Horse from the same theatre (National). So it is better to keep this theatre dark for 8 months and many people not getting their pay checks, than to transfer a production that was ready to go with the cast ready to reprise their roles in a American classic (Ma Rainey's Black Bottoms), that earned a flat out rave from Ben Brantley when he was in London recently. Something could have been hammered out with Equity on this, say we take Oslo, with the American cast - when it wind up on Broadway.

Mildred was clearly referring to Transport Group's production of Sweet Charity.
You also have literally no idea if a production of the National's Ma Rainey is/was at all feasible.
