What Rent means to me

I've been into Rent since I first saw the movie when it was in theaters. Then I saw the show for the first time on the day after X-mas of 2005 I won lottery. It was one of the best and most moving expeirences of my life. Since then I've seen the show 18 times. My Birthday was this past Saturday the 23rd and the Only thing I want as a B-day Present is tickets to the closing night of RENT. Some 17 year old teenagers want a car or something like that but ALL I want are tickets for RENT's Closing show. I will pay a decent amount for them. Like I said it would mean the WORLD for me to be there.

If anyone can PLEASE help me out

Rent The best show on Broadway. I was at the closing. BEST night of my Life. April 29th 1996-September 7th 2008 12 years of love "No Day But Today"

Like you're the only person to whom this show means something. Stop begging here and go look on eBay if you're willing to pay a ridiculous price for them. Then shut up already.

I'm truly sorry but there are no other ways but ebay and ticket brokers. If I had an extra ticket I would give it to you over any one else.

Here is some sad news. You ain't going to go kid. And, constently posting isn't going to get people to want to help you. Your just doing a very good job of pissing everyone here off.

I LOVER RENT. Okay I said it. I know you want tickets to the show but you don't need to go into detail about why you love it so much. You know what you're doing, causing trouble and you know it.

re: What Rent means to me

3rd post in the last hour that has to do with getting tickets. 0 tickets that you will get. Do you see a pattern here?

I love Rent, it is my second favorite show and it got me into Broadway. It probably changed my life forever. I was fortunate to get a ticket to the last show and I will never give it up. Many other people have tickets and they won't give them up. You sadly could not get a ticket. Life is life, it has it's up and downs and you need to realize that and deal with this.

If anyone HAD tickets they would have sold them to you just so that you would go away. People here have given you the best advice they can...follow it or dont...but either way: STOP posting about it. The answer isn't going to change.

Not that any of us should be surprised since this is what you do every single time you do post.

Now...go away child and let the grownups play.

Look, at this point it's probably next to impossible to get tickets for closing night. Better just face the facts: you're not gonna be able to be there for the final performance. Suck it up, buy a ticket to see the screening at your local cinema and stop annoying everybody here with all these ReNt posts.

Hmm...Rent is closing in about a week. Let's just ignore these threads or block coolkid for now. After a week, he can't beg for tickets.

re: What Rent means to me

Im a huge Rent fan, now 29 years old its just as important to me today as it was in when i watched the original cast all them years ago, i wish i had gotten tickets to the last show.I would have booked my flight from here in the UK and flown over in a heartbeat.......but it ain't gonna happen, the tickets have gone.

And at least you guys in the US get chance to watch it on the big screen, we don't get that here in the UK, so stop moaning CoolKid coz it ain't all bad

Try sitting through Rent Remixed, then you can moan lol
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

re: What Rent means to me

I died a little (a lot) inside when I realized that they wouldn't be showing the final performance of RENT in the UK, at all. Anywhere.

I wasn't overly surprised, RENT was hardly given any time in cinemas here when the film came out.

All we have to hope for is that they release a DVD of the performance, including performances from the OBC.

So, quit your moaning. Be grateful for what you have.

re: What Rent means to me

Rent to me means having a roof over my head. Oh you were talking about the show. I like Rent. It's one of my favorite musicals and I'm glad I got to see it 4 times(3 in NYC and 1 on the non-equity tour).

Thank god in a weeks time, we wont have to hear about this anymore.

re: What Rent means to me

I called Fox to suggest a new Reality show- "What I did for Rent." Coolkid will go on the show and a panel of judges will grill him about his love for Rent. If they find him sufficiently devoted, they will give him a challenge- a standing room ticket for the back of the house if he'll eat a spider the size of a bottle cap. If he does that, then they'll offer to upgrade his ticket to middle of the house if he'll crawl across broken glass in his underpants. Then, a eighth row seat if he swims across a tank filled with hungry sharks. I thik we're looking at a HUGE hit.

re: What Rent means to me

I am sorry he's seventeen, Mummy and Daddy have most likely payed for everything he's ever wanted and needed. Really the only thing reNt means to him is bagging rights to say i was there.

re: What Rent means to me

what happened last night? June 4th was already pretty epic.

Anyway, coolkid, you can just watch the screening at your local cinema dear - concentrate your efforts on the attainable.

Unless you are offering to buy the tickets at like 1000 dollars or something, if not, you know you are not gonna get them so why keep asking for the impossible?

re: What Rent means to me

I wanted to resist this, but it has to be said:

Basically 'stupidbeans' is a total moron. He (I'm assuming) created an account and started posting hilarious threads to do with the infamous MTF3.

I wouldn't dream of suggesting that 'stupidbeans' is in fact MTF3 or that 'stupidbeans' is just an attention seeking idiot who thinks its both hilarious, extremely entertaining and original to have created a new account and use it to grab more attention on every post visible. The fact he/she has established 'Stand By' status in ONE DAY should tell you enough.

Why you haven't been removed yet, who knows.

re: What Rent means to me

that's not ALL that happened. I'm going to post a thread aabout it. no I am not mtf3 ok, why would I bash her if I was her.

I AM NOT MTF3, how could I have responded to her threads so fast. how could she have went off on me like she did last night.
