there's no "sexually explicit" moments. there are a couple of sexually themed jokes regarding masturbation but it goes by so quickly. visually, there's nothing except some kissing. there are a few curse words, including use of the 'f word' two or three times but it's not gratuitous at all. your 12 year-olds hear these words every day and if they are true theatre fans, there shouldn't be any issue with this show. they are old enough to find the issues and topics very relevant.
I highly doubt the masturbation references in DEH are anything worse than what you'd hear if you're watching any TV after 9.

The Broadway transfer of "Dear Evan Hansen" was announced by one of the producers today. https://twitter.com/ericgrode/status/731528008046088192
No news yet on when or where, but I'm still thrilled.
Not sure if it's relevant, but Helen Hayes is included in the staff list of the playbill.

Second Stage owns the Hayes.
I'm still feeling the Booth on this one.
Double post — sorry, delete.

While it would make sense for it to play at the Helen Hayes with the second stage connection, wouldn't the Hayes(and st.james) be undergoing renovations until the 2017-2018 season when both current tenants are closed?

yes. this is not going into the Hayes.
Cindy Adams says Shoenfeld... I'm hoping for the Booth...
The Booth in theory makes the most sense given how Act of God is a limited run through September, thus giving them time to either toss in another limited engagement in the fall to cover until Evan Hansen moves in the spring or open Evan Hansen in the fall after Act of God.
LES LIAISONS has the Booth from October through January.

it's not transferring in fall. In spring.
^ Right, so if Evan Hansen is going into the Booth, it's not till the spring (if at all).
Saw the show for the second time last night and they've definitely tightened it since previews. I can't wait for this to transfer and for there to be a cast recording.
