Posted: 8/21/11 at 5:25pmIt happens during the song "Pop Musik (maybe Muzik? sp)". Cynthia is performing for the bar and during the song when she sits on the chair and spreads her legs the chair shoots ping pong balls into the audience.

Posted: 8/21/11 at 6:15pmShe does a routine with ping balls during Pop Muzik. At the end of the number ping pongs ball are shot into the audience. It's a fun number.

If you've seen the film, you'd fully understand the scene.
Seems Cynthia is popular in the local bar for a trick she can do -- she can shoot ping pong balls out of her hooha.
Nothing more; nothing less.

How is this not brought up in discussions of representation on Broadway? Did they make the actress do an accent similar to the one in the movie or was it toned down?

Maybe because we weren’t so “woke” back then —- and we were allowed to laugh at a gal who could shoot ping pong balls out of her tw*t?

Posted: 6/26/21 at 7:43pmBy the time it came to Broadway it was terribly outdated, offensive and they made poor J. Elaine Marcos do the whole “me love you long time” schtick. And you wonder why there are protests about representation. There was no reason Cynthia had to be Asian in the musical. Anyone can blow ping pong balls out of their snatch.

But in Bangkok, they are really good at it.
