"Best" in relation to what? Most popular? meaning a show(s) that have been seen by more people worldwide? Attendance record holder? Number of performances? ...what?

If any of the above factors constitutes "best" I would have a small list based on this, that's not necesarily my personal favorites, but factually would include...

LES MISERABLES
CATS
MAMMA MIA (yes, it was just voted the "world most popular musical)
